Sarah and Matt chose a stunning venue for their wedding day. Their Byron bay restaurant wedding encapsulated everything Byron bBay is loved for. Rolling green hills, a relaxed vibe, good food and plenty of celebration. They chose Adam Ward Photography to capture their day.
Sarah tells the story of how they came to be. “We met at work at a restaurant on the Sunshine Coast in 2008. Matt was Sous Chef and I was the Assistant Manager.”
Sarah chose a simple dress by Collette Dinnigan, remembering, “The dress was easy. I wore a Colette Dinnigan dress that I came across online while looking for inspiration.”
The couple chose Fig Tree Restaurant for their ceremony and reception.
The French Petal styled the flowers for the day, Sarah remarking, “We went for a rustic vintage feel. Our main aim was to make the day as relaxed as possible.”
Sarah walked down the aisle to Barry Louis Polisar – “All I Want Is You “.
Debbie Scott officiated the ceremony, the bride remarking, “We wanted to make the most of the amazing view at the Fig Tree so had our ceremony at 11am. Deb Scott our celebrant was great and really understood the kind of ceremony we wanted. We wrote our vows together.”
The wedding cakes were a special gift to the couple, Sarah explaining, “Both of our mums made a cake each as our wedding cake. They were such a hit on the day and were gone in a flash!”
Of their photographer, Sarah notes, “Adam is an all round nice guy, passionate about what he does. He was AMAZING! We did an engagement shoot with him a week before the wedding which made us a lot more comfortable on the day. He captured some beautiful moments on the day.”
Of their first dance, Sarah remembers, “We had our first dance by the pool to Coming Home by Leon Bridges.”
Sarah and Matt chose Yellowbull Media to capture a film of their day.
Congratulations Sarah and Matt! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Adam Ward Photography for sharing today’s wedding.
Just wanted to pop into say I really love the photo of the happy couple standing under the massive tree branch, with only sky in the background. Beautiful!
This is such a cool place for getting married. I love Byron Bay.
