What better celebration of the Garden Issue than visiting three beautiful tablescape designs from the incredible brains of From This Day Weddings, Scentiment Flowers and South West Event Studios! Captured by the wonderful Place of Love Photo and Film, Eden, Dune and Decadence showcase the bold, the beautiful and the dreamy when it comes to alfresco event dining.

Starting with Eden, where bold, bright colours, cascading florals, delicate fruits and lush gardens define this set-up. Set in the beautiful southwest of Western Australia, and brought to life with the best local vendors the region has to offer, this one is bound to get those creative planning juices going.

The contrasting green, red and pink tones from table styling and furniture from South West Event Studio bring a dreamy quality, complemented by the soft pink and white florals and luscious greenery from Scentiment Flowers. The finished look is only enhanced further by stationery from Hooray Design, with fringe-detail place settings / menus.

Margaret River’s Secret Garden was the venue for this beautiful shoot, and when the team had the opportunity to create something beautiful right in the heart of it all, there was no hesitation. And when putting together a bold, eye-catching tablescape in a secret garden, there was no better theme than the Garden of Eden! “Symbols of innocence, temptation and the purity of nature unfolded as this stunning styled photographic opportunity came together,” says Nic Brearley of Place of Love.

Moving on from Eden and into Dune! Gone are the bold colours and now we’re looking at coastal tones of blues, tans and creams. Southwest Western Australia has some of the most beautiful coastlines, with deep blue oceans, limestone outcrops, and sandy white beaches.

These natural elements are reflected beautifully in Dune, with seashells, starfish and gentle waves to complete the look. For a more beachy look, the team utilised washed tones, natural rattan, shell place cards, and a more movement-inspired overall feel.

Finally, Decadence is all about self-indulgence, luxury and a sweeter style. Truly nothing says ‘decadence’ more than chocolate and mouth-watering desserts, especially when they’re set against a colour palette of rich ruby florals, elegant silver tableware and sculptural plates. Leather menus stand between glass-encased candles and deep red florals.

The desserts were created by the talented Michelin-starred French pâtissier Maison Lassiaille, set on the table to be both admired and savoured. Decadence is set at the beautiful Fermoy Estate in Wilyabrup.

Whether you’re looking to create something bold and lush, natural and salt-touched or a celebration of indulgence, there’s plenty of inspiration to scroll through!
