It was wedding date lucky number three when Rebecca and Brendan finally got to tie the knot, the rain holding off for just the perfect amount of time for these two to say their vows – incredible mountain views behind them, their favourite people cheering them on.

An unforgettable ceremony, if you will, and beautifully perfect for the Ceremony issue with every rustic, romantic country moment captured beautifully by Euphoria Films. Chilled out, happy and carefree was just what these two had in mind for their day, and with the rolling country hills, how could their celebration has been anything but?

After meeting through a mutual friend, it was a little more complicated for these to make it to their first date! Rebecca laughs as she shares “Brendan saw my friend at the Mean Fiddler trying to find where I was and couldn’t call me because my phone had died. Brendan did a sneaky act and said “here call her from my phone” just to get my number. Text messages followed from there which led to our first date. I said it wasn’t a date but we saw each other every day for the next 12 years!”

So twelve years and children later, it was Brendan who decided to pop the question. “I purchased a ring box in the which was hidden in a rose, I had my daughter Ivie-Grace ask Bec if she would marry daddy. Bec didn’t believe it or didn’t get the hint yet because the ring box looked like a fake rose. I then dropped to one knee and opened the rose showing the ring and asked Bec if she would marry me.”

Brendan wore tones of blue and pink with pieces from SK Menswear. Says the bride  “We chose the colours due to seeing a similar style and liking the casual smart look and the colour blend with the dresses, suits and wedding set up just flowed well together.”

Bec wasn’t sure about her beautiful lace gown by Ella Rosa she found at Brides In Love. But it was perfect! She tells “I picked my dress 4 months post-baby and was very unsure right up until the week before the wedding if I had made the right choice.
But it was my dress! It was perfect in every way and I’m so glad I impulsively purchased it when I did!” She added her late grandfather’s 1960s suede tassel jacket (for the reception) and crystal embellished heels from Betts to complete the look. “The jacket was the most sentimental item, it being my late grandad’s jacket; it was perfect in every way and felt like I had a piece of him with me.”

The country day was held at Chapel Hill Retreat Rebecca noting “Chapel Hill Retreat is a heritage estate style in the Blue Mountains. It’s  very scenic from a deck in the reception area, very green and natural floral through paddocks, a little country style feel.”

We had our ceremony held on a deck overlooking the mountain range, the reception area was a large open room in which guests were seated on long tables and the head table at the front with the dance floor in between.”

Rebecca was walked down the aisle by her brother David, to “Your Guardian Angel” by Fatin Majidi.

Rebecca and Brendan were married by Master Of Ceremonies Sydney. Says the groom “The weather was perfect; I experienced all the feelings I wanted too, the excitement of seeing what my wife would look like, excited to see my beautiful children all dressed up, for the ceremony to be short and fun, not stumble on my vows, the ceremony for me was perfect.” Rebecca adding “I was  nervous about talking in front of everyone with my vows, I wanted to feel the excitement, calmness but just happiness.”

Says Rebecca “We both remember most, being excited to see each other, wanting to have that first kiss but couldn’t before we finished at the ceremony, beautiful weather and great view on a beautiful deck over the mountain range. (It was predicted to rain 15 mins prior to our ceremony, but there was not one drop till later in the evening – perfect for night photos!).”

Want to take Rebecca’s wedding advice? We suggest you do! She says “Don’t have any expectations and just go with the flow, feelings and emotions in the moments on your big day.”

Guests took home cookies with the newlywed’s names as well as custom laser cut wooden name tag keyrings as wedding favours.

The floral details of the day were styled by  Bridal Blooms n Balloons. Rebecca sharing “We had mini gum, eucalyptus greenery, sea holly thistles, nude-cream-blush roses, tied with natural yarn, the colours were very green, white and dusky blues and pinks.”

The newlyweds took to the dance floor to Shania Twain’s “From This Moment/ Still The One” covered by their band Red Soda. “The first dance was calming,” remembers Rebecca. “It  felt like the first time we got a couple of minutes to ourselves and were talking about the day, a lot of kissing, dry ice covering the floor and fireworks all around us.”

Rebecca and Brendan’s wedding film was captured also captured beautifully by Euphoria Films. Rebecca noting “Euphoria Films, Will, was amazing, he and his team were very professional, fun and made the day all the more perfect with how he handled every moment and captured the most perfect images from natural feels of everyone at the wedding, to great posed shots with great backdrops, best in the business.”
