It was Lucas’ love taking a chance when he spied Linda’s profile through a mutual acquaintance on Facebook, that made him add Linda as a friend. She accepted, and the rest, for these two, was history! Their wedding was just as casual, just as relaxed as they’d dreamt – there was no fuss, no stress, just their living room, their daughters and their pledge to one another. “It was very relaxed and intimate, personal,” says Linda, “We did it our way, our girls were there with us, there was just happy, no stress at all & the night celebrating was really special too.”

And aside from the couple’s babysitter and family friend, the only other person present on this wedding day? Photographer, It’s Beautiful Here. It is with Scout’s beautiful captures, that we get to share this oh so special, beautiful day. Let this be proof, that Linda’s advice “just do what you want!” will always be our motto for you!

The bride wore pink! Linda donned a stunning long pale pink gown from designer Rebecca Vallance. “I felt a million dollars in it! Originally I did buy a wedding dress but the more I tried it on the less I loved it. Sooo happy I went with the pink!” Lucas found his outfit the day before at Saba, adding his late father’s watch and tie to complete his look.

And of course, the ceremony kept the same relaxed vibe, thanks to celebrant Ebony Carver. Shares Linda “We wanted just the bare minimum, we didn’t exchange vows, just a few words as we exchanged our rings. Even though it was very short it was still personal. Our celebrant Ebony Carver was the perfect celebrant for us, she made us feel so calm.”

There were minimal blooms on the day but what Linda and Lucas did choose, they loved. “Jess from Sassafras Wedding created the most perfect pink bouquet” remember the bride. “I didn’t care what flowers she used I trusted her completely.”

The couple ensured they chose a professional photographer, Linda noting “Scout was seriously amazing, she made us feel so comfortable and created such a safe atmosphere for us to just be us. The photos she took still blow us away. I cannot recommend her enough.”
