No doubt Mondays are always a delight around here as we dive into the world of wedding fashion. Today, the delight comes from American designer L. Wells and the “In A Dream” collection.

Designed with bringing “Ease and adventure” to traditional wedding gowns in mind, the new collection is decidedly vintage in style. It brings to life inspiration from the American ‘70s film, “3 Women,” starring Shelley Duvall and Sissy Spacek. The gowns full of that effortless 70s glam, that spoke of comfort, of dreamlike silhouettes, of beautiful fabrics, and effortless style. Each gown even takes its name from one of the characters.

Designer Lauren loves the idea of fuss-free beauty. After training and spending much fo her life working for other designers, her own brand is true to her own spirit. They crisscross from old to new, vintage to modern, all with a delightful whimsy to them.

Eloping? You might adore the mini tulle skirt of “Pinkie” paired with the “Millie” long sleeve top, adorned with bows down the bodice. The lightness of “Hart” pictured above is another favourite. Delicate and utterly dreamy, this one will be as at home with bare feet in the garden as high heels on a rooftop.

Gowns are beautifully fabricated too, just to add to the experience – silk chiffon, Chantilly laces,  duchess satin, silk charmeuse all playing with each other for gowns that are as beautiful as they are comfortable. And the price point? Equally as comfortable for many, the pieces from the “In A Dream” ranging from $760USD to $3600USD.

L. Wells gowns are made to order and ship to Australia and New Zealand.
