If there is one thing we just love, it’s the idea of taking one space and creating three different looks. After all, not one of us is the same, so how exactly can we even envisage a space with our own personal style?
Today we’re sharing the final instalment of this dream team’s collaborative efforts at the beautiful Byron View Farm, (see the team’s glam tropical inspiration and their luxe moody bohemian inspiration) with these modern island dreaming tropical wedding ideas. It has been amazing to see one space transform so easily into three distinct styles and today’s is just the ticket for a minimal, pared-back look with plenty of unexpected, beautiful touches.
Captured by Carly Tia Photography with creative direction Byron Bay Weddings, The Wedding Shed did the styling. The Grove Byron Bay took the all-white colour palette and added plenty of texture; wooden tabletops, white coral, fluffy white blooms from Wilderness Flowers, modern stationery by The Blackline by Lauren and cut crystal glassware. Plus there were some unexpected touches; Matt black flatware, grey crockery, dramatic black leadlight candle holders and, my favourite part, coconuts! The styling gives a nod to the beautiful, tropical surroundings, without losing a sense of modern, chic drama. It was all complemented beautifully by our model, the bride-to-be dressed in, of course, a bohemian styled piece from Spell.
Is it hard to put real coconuts on tables for a wedding reception… is there like a trick?
Hi there Gaby. No trick – this is a pretty easy stying look. Do check out youtube/google for tutorials on how to crack ’em in half though.
Will the coconut stay fresh ? Does it turn brown
Hi there Julie – you can rub lemon juice on cut surfaces to keep them fresh for longer.
