Ivar & Neil’s Urban Engagement Photos In Adelaide

Ivar & Neil

One of the things we adore about engagement shoots is – not only that it is about the love story (because there is nothing more beautiful!) – that they also reflect the couples they’re documenting so beautifully. Today, Ivar and Neil took to Adelaide’s CBD with photographer Israel Baldago to tell their story; the city where the bride grew up holding a special place in her heart. As for how they met? “We were each other’s first and last date on Tinder! ‘Great strike rate,’ Neil says!” tells the bride.

On what she loves about her future husband, Ivar remarks, “Neil is the calm to my craziness. He is very grounded, kind-hearted and has a strong sense of who he is. We laugh every day.”

Of their Adelaide engagement shoot, the bride to be told, “We were really directed by our talented photographer Israel Baldago. We both live in Sydney and I grew up in Adelaide so it has a special place in my heart. It’s really changed over the years with lots of bars popping up down alleyways and cool artwork as seen on Israel’s site. We wanted to capture and showcase how beautiful Adelaide is.”

With their love of cityscapes, it made sense that the groom proposed overlooking one! Ivar explains, “Neil proposed in Hong Kong in a park overlooking the city skyline. We were flying out that day and he had told my parents he was going to propose on this trip so he left it to the very last minute!”
