We’re so used to seeing wedding inspiration outside that the industrial style brick walls of today’s vintage glam wedding inspiration shoot with red roses inspire a completely different take on this old favourite.

With Michael Kennedy behind the camera, the team was led by stylist (and floral designer) Lilly & Lotus who created lush bouquets of deep red roses, wax flowers and Australian native greens.

Our “bride”, Elizabeth Warner, in a beautiful lace sheath gown from White Lily Couture with dramatic cape, was dressed alongside her “groom”, James Smyth, in a vintage style look. Katie Lauren Hair Salon created a modern take on vintage style pin curls, with Elle Makeup Artistry creating a soft yet dramatic makeup look.

The raw brick walls of The Giddy Goat Cafe & Bar set the scene for this shoot – the heritage Rockhampton building using brickwork from the original Royal Arcade Building. Madeleine of White Lily Couture notes, “This shoot was a raw mix of dark edge and soft romanticism. The sophisticated styling concept contrasts radiant warm-toned features such as roses and earthy bricks against mood lighting and gothic chandeliers.”
