Norm and Fereshteh
As Norm and I got married the year before on our trip to Spain, we only wanted to have a party to celebrate our union with family and friends. So, after coming back from the trip, we started looking for venues. We live in the city so we knew an urban party would suit us.
I have a passion for gathering people together and I love organising events from scratch. I started reading blogs to gather information and there were so many to choose from, but we knew what we liked straight away. As we were going on a trip early in the year, I organised everything 6 months in advance. One of my friends suggested Mountain Goat Beer for the venue and she sent me a post from Polka Dot Weddings about her friend’s wedding. It was a beautiful wedding at the brewery.
Our lovely photographer Brett from Goldsmith & Co. was with us since early afternoon, we really enjoyed his positive and easy attitude throughout the day.

We had a honeymoon donation box and the figurine of bride and groom was designed by my friend Maryam
We designed our “Save the date” and “Invitation” cards online on Minted and received them in 4 days. I met my florist at Flower Vasette and we went through the design I was looking for. Trish asked me to meet her closer to the date to see what flowers were in season. Our wedding favours were jars of Honey from New Zealend (where Norm proposed).
Our beautiful macarons were from La Belle Miette and they were sooo tasty!
Cake was ordered from Cake Face. Mignon was very accommodating…
For entertainment we hired a Photo Booth from In the Booth. That was the best choice…
I started organising the event and contacting suppliers in early February 2012 and we had no issues. We met such great people including Sam at MGB, Emma at Fred & Ginger and Mr. Crispe & The Wildman. Our caterer Emma from Fred & Ginger took such good care of every thing on the day ensuring that things ran smoothly and on time.
We danced and danced and danced, and to be honest I could have continued till the next day.
The night was shared with all our lovely family and friends and we were blessed to have them all with us.
You can see more photos on my blog too!

Ms Gingham says: The Mountain Goat Beer Brewery is such a lovely venue! Perfect for an urban wedding theme just like Fereshteh and Norm’s gorgeous wedding.
Fereshteh says: ” I am 30 years old and met my husband at university when I was his tutor! We lived together for 5 years and tied the knot in Gibraltar (south spain) in may 2011″.
