I would have to say my favourite wedding movie would be bride wars. Its so hard to pick that one but it was just soooo funny!!! I cant remember laughing so hard at any movie.
My absolute favourite wedding movie is 27 dresses. Although the whole movie pretty much slams the idea of the over-the-top wedding, the moment Jane looks at Kevin when she walks up the isle at their own wedding just turns me into a ball of tears. I can’t wait to see my future husband look at me like that on our special day! (Of course, I’d never dress my bridesmaids so dreadfully)
Muriel’s Wedding! It’s so funny
My absolute favourite wedding movie is Father of the Bride. It completely captures the rollercoaster ride of a wedding (Laughs, tears, dramas + songs! )
I also love “Love actually” … scene where the musicians pop up …so sweet.
sooooooo hard to pick just one,
My Best friend’s wedding
My big fat Greek
Wedding crashers
Bride Wars
The Wedding Singer -( the 80’s” lol)
27 Dresses
The Wedding Planner
Monster in Law
Four Weddings and a Funeral
Muriel’s Wedding
Bride wars
Betsy’s Wedding
Runaway Bride”
I think I need help serious professional help. I am consumed by wedding planning. – Wedding do strange thing to your mind. You start watching every wedding movie ever made. :-p
I don’t know if it quite counts, but I love Meet The Fockers, it seems to resonate quite clearly with my family and our in-laws – the debate on which side are the Fockers is still raging 🙂
I have so many – I think “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “The Wedding Planner” will always be a favorite, as well as “The Wedding Singer” and “Love Actually” – but I really enjoyed “Rachel Getting Married” recently as it exposed some sense of the drama that often goes on behind the scenes between family members – although hopefully not always to that extreme!
Sex and the City – the movie. Classic Carrie & Mr Big. Sad wedding day, but it all works out in the end! And fabulous gowns and accessories to look at!
My favorite wedding movie would be “The Wedding Date” , because its just so Romantic and i always have a tear in my eye at the end. I also have a favorite wedding scene in a movie in “De-Lovely” i love the idea of a vintage wedding and having Robbie Williams the singer in the wedding band!
Love actually.
The best wedding scene from the movie was at the beginning of Love Actually when the groom’s best friend arranges to have live horns playing in the balcony of the church at the end of the ceremony as a surprise to the bride and groom. That was the most beautiful gesture of true friendship because he went above and beyond the call of a Best Man and put his own feelings aside (he was in love with the with the bride). The entire movie was engaging because all the men stepped out of their comfort zones and went after the women they loved – just like my fiancée did for me! That’s romance.
