Caroline & Jakob’s wedding was a celebration of love that seamlessly blended urban sophistication and boho luxe with industrial charm. Set against the backdrop of a converted warehouse in Melbourne, their special day was a testament to their love – for each other, their family & friends, AND their fur-baby! Their industrial urban warehouse wedding, captured by Art of Grace Photography, featured elegant details, sentimental moments, and not to mention a glorious gown by d’Italia. Caroline tells us about their love story & wedding day…

We met on Tinder 5 years ago. Jakob proposed to me in the backyard of our home just after we had given our new puppy (which we had also gotten that weekend) a bath, and it was simple yet beautiful. Our wedding was very much bohemian and rustic. We incorporated a lot of the Australian natives in our florals and I made a macrame backdrop which was used in our ceremony.

The macrame backdrop which was used in the ceremony was made by Jakob and I. The wooden frame was made by him and the macrame part itself was made by me. We also included disposable cameras on every table so people could take photos

Our wedding party was my 3 best friends and my sister, and Jakob’s two best mates and his two brothers.

For our wedding flowers, we chose a lot of greenery and foliage as well as a lot of Australian natives as they were our favourite type of flowers.

My wedding dress was custom-made by d’Italia. I wanted to do a custom design that accentuated my figure and the seamstress from d’Italia did a perfect job at it!

We had our wedding at Gather & Tailor for both our ceremony and reception which was so convenient for us and our guests, and it was just the perfect fit!

We walked down to “You Are The Reason” by Callum Scott.

I honestly couldn’t choose a favourite detail from the day! Everything was perfect and so, so beautiful.

Thank you to Caroline & Jakob for sharing their beautiful wedding with us, and to Art of Grace & d’Italia for letting us showcase this beauty of a wedding day.
