There is a place for neutrals in weddings, a place for bright bursts of rainbow colour, but as we head into the colder months, we embrace the dark, the moody, the rich, the jewel tones. And that beautiful deep romantic, elegant vibe is exactly what inspired today’s dream team to collaborate and make something truly beautiful. Says Jennifer “Winter is a more moody season so we wanted to create something moody and romantic. There are so many gorgeous styling out there full of bright bold colours, but we wanted something with rich, warm and earthy tones to bring warmth to the cooler months ahead. Every vendor was just truly amazing! We wanted to create something special that wasn’t just models and a pretty dress, but we feel we went the extra mile and got so many people involved from cake, to gowns all the way to the wine on the table.”

The brainchild of photographers Jennifer of  Liminal Wonderland and Kas of Little White Space Photography, the team was drawn to the beauty of the historic Melbourne venue The George Ballroom. The rich tones of the space are enhanced by incredible floral details, of course in the moody tones by Sam Rizzo. “Sam took our concept to the next level,” remembers Jennifer “Supplying the most incredible floral arrangements, he created a wild woodland indoors! It was hard not to obsess over his creation but he is a true artist.”

Our models, Mish and her real-life partner, dressed in dramatic (and oh so glam) pieces from Hayley Maree Bridal and YSG Tailors.  Hats from Carlisle Hats, sunglasses from Shine Shades and jewels from Snafu Design all compliment their looks, complete with hair and makeup by artist Aman K Artistry.  The stars set to go, and the scene begins. The “wedding” begins surrounded by floral installations as the couple “wed”, under the guidance of celebrant You’ve Got The Love Events.

Ready to celebrate, they make their way to the beautiful reception tablescape, styled by Oh Honey Weddings, with fruit amongst the flowers, layered crockery and impeccable attention to detail. the tablescape is layered with linens from Cloth & Confetti Events, glassware and crockery from Lusso Event Hire and candles by Candle Co. Black paper pieces, designed by Feel The Love bring all the dramatics.  Our newlyweds enjoy celebratory drinks thanks to Sauced Shop and golden liqueur bottle favours from Casa de Vinos to bring in the heat for the winter chill.

But where there is a wedding there is fun, and this team added all they could to make this party a true celebration. An audio guestbook from Off the Hook, a neon sign Little Pineapple Neon and of course dessert – in this instance a glam, with gold and teal wedding cake by designer Breearn Murray Cakes that added not just delicious sugary goodness to the occasion, but a definite “wow factor”.
