With pastel hues all around this month for The Pastel Issue, we thought we’d bring you back to the beginning, The pastel wedding colour palette! And while it may seem the choices are limited, or even obvious, there are plenty of beautiful pastel combinations that you might not have even considered.

Because let it be known, pastels in and of themselves can set a complete vibe that isn’t always all pretty and romantic. They can bring to life warm summer days, modern sparkle, soft rainbow joy, the lush spring season and everything in between!

Peach & Blue

This modern, yet retro colour combination is softly romantic, but also has a feeling of warmth. Think of long summer days, dappled shade and plenty of fresh, stunning blooms.

Gold, Pale Pink & Grey

Looking for a way to use pastels in a modern way? Why not combine pastel tones with metallics? Pastel pink immediately becomes more than a little edgy, if you add the hues of pale greys and of course, glittering, shimmering gold.

Pink, Yellow & Blue

Rainbow but make it pastel. Combining multiple pastel shades at different ends of the spectrum gives such a fresh, fun look. The lightness and clarity of these hues can work beautifully for both summers by the sea and spring garden celebrations.

Blue & Blue

You don’t even need to combine multiple colours for your wedding day. You could just pick your favourite colour, and embrace all the stunning tones. Blue on blue is a marvellous hue because there are so many beautiful, wedding-worthy variations. Duck egg to ice blue? Utterly romantic.

Lavender, Orange & Blush

The combination of lavender, orange and blush is a fun modern play on everyone’s favourite colour of the season – peach. The greyed-off lavender adds something different to the popular blush, and the orange lifts it and adds a pop of bright, beautiful colour.

Green, Yellow & Blush

Green always exemplifies a fresh light mood, so combining it with soft sunshine yellow? Perfect for a warmer weather wedding. Add a touch of blush, or apricot for something a little more on-trend.

Blush & Cream

Looking for something classic? You can’t go past the classic blush pink. Combining it with cream (or white) is a timelessly elegant choice.
