.Get ready to be swept off your feet by Bianca & Jarrod’s black & white wedding with dusty-hued florals – we definitely have been. With their original wedding date being cancelled just 24 hours before (thanks snap lockdowns!) , the love these two have for each other, and for their family and friends, is evident and so beautifully captured by Mia for Chloe May Photography. Bianca remembers how she and Jarrod met, fell in love, and got engaged…

Jarrod and I met on a job site, he was the cute tradie and I was the delivery driver. I instantly knew he was the one, and after texting all my girlfriends to tell them I had met the love of my life we went on our first date. We have been inseparable ever since!

Me being a slight control freak, Jarrod and I picked my beautiful engagement ring together, I was sure he was going to keep this on layby for the next 6 months. Fast forward only two months later to New Year Eve 2019 and we are with friends by the Murry River Echuca/Moama, and Jarrod pops down on one knee on top of a hill in full view of our closest friends at SUNSET. I was convinced I would know but I was taken completely by surprise!

I first saw Prea James pop on my Instagram feed, a picture of what ended up being my gorgeous gown. I saw the Genevieve gown and thought that’s the one – simple and elegant, exactly what I had been searching for. We had already booked in at another bridal store so went along on a Sunday afternoon, loving the dresses, but in the back of my mind, all I could picture was the Genevieve gown.  Once I put on the Genevieve Prea James gown, I instantly knew it was the one!!

Bluebell Bridal, honestly these ladies are goddesses and made the entire experience an absolute dream. From the moment we walked in they made me and mum feel like queens. And once I had the gown on, wow it was the one, and everything I had pictured was coming to life.

We wanted to make sure we honoured those who were no longer with us but who were certainly looking over us. At the beginning of the ceremony, my mum lit a candle in memory of those people.

I walked down the aisle to the same song as my mum in 1990 – Elvis’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You.”

We were married at Mitchelton Winery, an absolutely stunning venue in country Victoria. Jarrod and I have forever loved the river life and what better backdrop to our outdoor ceremony than the stunning views of the Goulbourn Valley River and beautiful gum trees.

We went with a very classic style – ivory, pearls and roses. I keep all of our stationery and other items very neutral picking white and black and brought in a pop of colour with our STUNNING flowers by Chloe Lashay Floristry!! Our flowers were absolutely amazing. Stunning classic roses as bouquets and the dusty colour added a perfect touch of colour to the day. I was blown away by how stunning our flowers were.

Our advice for other couples’ wedding days would be to let the stresses go, what will be will be. Also, be organised! And take it all in. It is an amazing experience.

Every single one of our vendors was perfect and I wouldn’t change any of them. From having to reschule our wedding at short notice to the big day they were amazing. The weather and being blessed with sunshine, having our friends stand next to us as we married each other and being able to have all of our closest family and friends be able to join us.

Jarrod and I chose our first dance song long before we were even engaged and it was well worth it! We danced to Morgan Wallen’s “Spin You Around.”

Their wedding day was filmed by the wonderful team at Allure Productions.

Thank you to Bianca & Jarrod for letting us relive their day with them! And to Mia for Chloe May for sharing these stunning images!
