You know how much we adore a good editorial at Polka Dot Wedding. When it is left to vendors to create the work of their dreams, magic things happen. Today, we’re heading to the stunning landscape of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, for an editorial set to inspire an elopement that is all about romance, all about deep, moody tones with a fun boho twist.

The concept, dreamt up by photographer Shirley of Stellar Weddings was designed to show a different kind of luxe, one that perhaps was less about designer labels, and sparkling crystals, and more about deep tones, and moody details. The majority of the images taken overlooking Cairn Beach on the Mornington Peninsula. “It gives a sense of freedom/feel good to couples weighing between an elopement yet wanting to include a micro celebration” says Shirley.

Models Tatijana Helena and Thomas James Noonan played the newlyweds. Tatijana’s look completed with a gown from Peter Trends. Her hair and makeup (think deep smokey eyes and loose beach waves) styled by Mary Jane Ashlyn.

The floral details, featuring plenty of olive leaves, blush and raisin roses,  the work of Just Loved embraced the concept – right down to the olive leaf crown our “bride” finished her look with “celebrating her freedom side to roam the nature” explains Shirley.

And aside from those beautiful windswept, coastal moments caught upon the cliffside, Barn & Co played host to the sit down reception. The rustic barn setting dressed with a floral adorned tablescape of neutral tones, with complementing hued paper pieces by stationery designer Lavender Creative Co. The look designed to show how rustic boho style can marry itself beautifully with luxe, modern details.  And that, the combination of freedom, with beauty, was exactly what this team had dreamt of creating. “The elopement was in a romantic setting; love witnessed by the wonder of nature before they returned to their intimate gathering at a charming barn restaurant located in a vineyard.”
