You know we love a little bit of fashion around these parts, so we’re ending our Thursday right with the brand new Autumn Winter 2021 collection from the fine folk at Institchu.

We’ve loved Institchu for a long time – custom tailoring in-store or from the comfort of your couch sits just right with us, and their brand new collection introduces plenty of options for winter weddings that we know you’re going to love.

James Wakefield, who founded the brand alongside Robin McGowan, sharing “For our A|W 2021 Collection, we wanted a site that celebrates the Australian landscape—the warm bush, the natural light and the surrounding tree-house style property at Sweven all embody the character of our latest Campaign and the Collection. We focused on finding beauty and comfort in our new way of living and working in 2021 and wanted somewhere that really spotlights the beauty of the little moments in everyday life, now more celebrated than ever—an end of day drink by the fire, a walk in the country, a coffee on the deck and so on.”

The fabrics are just what you want for the colder weather – breathable merino wool,  tweed fabrics, even woollen cable knits.  The hues, of burgundy, grey browns, camels and charcoals honouring the deep rich tones of Autumn and Winter. And with flexibility in mind, these pieces (customisable, of course!) are made to work at weddings, to weekends, the office, to your work from home setup.  And here’s the part we love most about this brand – you get to customise everything, and we mean everything. From your lapel to your lining, to your buttons, your shoulder shape and cuff. It’s all distinct to you.

Need to know where to start? Our pick begins with “The Amalfi”, a two-button suit jacket with a notch lapel that comes in beautiful grey-brown merino wool. For those who want to ditch the wedding gown for a suit, check out the “The Swan” burgundy wool jacket with gold buttons and a notch lapel. Don’t forget, you can start with the brand’s stock stand pieces and tailor them to just what you like!

Marrying in the colder season has always been the lesser cousin of summer and Spring, but when options like this come along, we’re even more onboard the winter wedding dream!

The collection is now available from Institchu showrooms around the world or via the website.
