Eloping is now set to be on more agendas than ever, and the big question becomes, what does one wear?
Well, Karen Willis Holmes has got a treat in store for you with the launch of the Australian brand’s “Elope” collection.
Now, let us caveat this by saying there is nothing wrong with choosing a brilliant beautiful ballgown for your elopement, or a dapper tuxedo – in fact, we might even say we encourage it. But sometimes, when you’re running to the registry office to tie the knot or roaming city streets as a newlywed, you want something different, a little more casual, or little easier to move in. “Elope” has all this (and more) covered.
It gives a nod to the brand’s ever-popular “Bespoke” collection, but this time with more flirty, modern and fun. The collection of nine pieces features everything from feature adored mini dresses, elegant slip gowns and our very favourites – the stunning all-white pantsuits. These are the pieces that are for the soul who wants to, well, still acknowledge that yes she’s getting married, but just wants to look fabulous while doing so. And to that, we will certainly toast.
Designer Karen sharing “The ELOPE collection is far from traditional; it is the perfect blend of striking sophistication with a playful twist. I have designed tailored silhouettes with craftsmanship and artistry in mind – silk satin, gilded lace, and stretch fabrics combined with ostrich feather accents grace this collection to form immaculate lines and sensual shapes.”
The campaign, shot by Alli Woods, with video by Each and Every Moment centres in Melbourne city, and one of the hidden gems of the city – the beautiful Recoleta.
Our bride, model Jelena Marija has makeup styled by Nicole Kene. She dons killer Meggan Morimoto heels and her look is completed with jewels from a. b. Ellie, Amelie George and Sam + Franki.
