The peace, the romance of being by the seaside is never lost on us, and today’s dream team were completely inspired by the waterside location of Sydney venue The Blue Room Bondi to create a wedding editorial inspired by none other than the whimsy of mermaids.
Floral designer Chanele Rose Flowers & Styling, who is a queen of romantic floral arrangements, dreaming up a concept that brought to a pink-hued seaside beauty utter beauty, not to mention utterly dreamy.
With We Are Origami Photography behind the camera, and the seaside at their fingertips, model Lauren Cherrelle took the stage as the “Bride” (and mermaid). Two different gowns from Vivian Tung complementing two very different looks. A deep gold gown coupled with beautiful mermaid-esque waves styled by Gladis of Gemma Nichols Hair & Makeup, and natural makeup, while look two coupled a short white gown with a tousled up-do and a brighter, pinker lip. Her look playing off the beauty of crystal, pearl and shells.
And if you ever needed evidence of how dreamy florals can transform a space, then let Lina’s work do all the talking. Beautiful floral arrangements of vivid to light pinks and soft peach flowers tied with deep peach silk ribbon. A circular backdrop that transported our bride to an under the sea setting, Centerpieces loosely arranged on bare wood tables, adorned with coloured glassware and crockery pieces from Pretty Pedestals, coupled with sea-inspired details like Himalayan pink sea salt candles, clamshells, and dripping pillar candles.
And the finishing touches? Utterly beautiful hand-lettered stationery pieces by Left & Willow Designs and Calligraphy and a cake, as equally as whimsical as its setting, designed by Bella Bakes Dessert.
There is a lot to be said for bringing whimsy into our everyday lives, and this editorial offers up all the inspiration you’ll need to bring your own little touches of ethereal, seaside imagination.
