We’re always a big fan when talented wedding pros collaborate and today’s meeting of the minds is a very special one. You already know and love Melbourne designer Cathleen Jia and wedding blogger turned accessories designer Ella of The White Files and today we’re more than thrilled to show off their very first wedding gown collection together! Meet the debut Cathleen Jia x The White Files Wedding Gown Collection!
After meeting over cocktails, Cathleen and Ella knew they had something very special in common – a love for all things beautiful and a love for all things bridal. Seeing an opportunity to work together, they jumped at it, designing a collection of 15 beautiful gowns, all consciously produced and designed in Melbourne.
They share “We wanted to create something that transcends the realm of bridal, breaking traditions, borders and expectations. Something that is in line with our values of sustainability, and something that simplifies the way brides shop for their gown.”
The collection, available entirely online and shipping worldwide brings to beautiful, modern pieces that mix and match and are utterly modern in style. Thing long sleeve wrap tops, full circle skirts made of silk, gowns with cut out detailing, cropped bodice tops and silk camis. This top with that skirt with this skirt or that top. Many of the gowns and skirts even have belt loops, so of course, there are stylish and chic belts to match! As a nod to Ella’s love of jewels, there are pearl buttons, buckle adorned sleeves and gold buttons- a touch of luxe!
Piece Four is my absolutely favourite, a full circle hi-low midi dress with gorgeous billowing silk that looks oh so comfortable!
The duo is hosting trunk shows, in Sydney the 29th of February-1st of March and Melbourne on the 7th of March where you can try on all the gowns and meet Cathleen and Ella in person! Book your place here or shop the entire collection here.
