Weddings are about love, they’re about stories, about a coming together and for us, this is also what sharing a meal together is. It is a celebration not just of the delicious feasts on our tables, but each other and it’s this that drew us to today’s beautiful editorial of modern foodie wedding ideas at the stunning Moana Hall.

Enlisting the help of Sarah Tonkin Photography and The Auburn Hour Film Co. to capture it all. The concept was the brainchild of wedding stylist & floral designer Amber of Travelling Jaspers.

“As a florist & Stylist I want to start pushing the blooms boundaries” she explains. “I want to create more floor floral pieces, wild bridal backdrops overall more stand out bloom features and less what I call plonked table arrangements.”

Beautiful big arrangements, full of dried foliage, fluffy blooms of lilacs and mustards alongside blush pinks and creams creating a grand backdrop and centrepieces alongside a lush table garland adding plenty of drama to the shoot. A grand tiered cake by Verlena Cakes, with delicate ruffle detail adding a sense of whimsical romance.

The scene set with tables dressed in white, with layered taupe plates from Hire Society complementing glassware from Euphoric Events and M Event Hire pieces.

Our bride, dressed in a stunning gown by Dion For Brides was made over by hair & makeup artist The Pretty Parlour. and carries an oversize bouquet of gypsophila. Her look finished with sparkling pieces from Halo Diamonds.

But as we’re all about the food, let’s chat taste. The beautiful food, set out on raised platforms on each table, by Fraser’s Events & Catering set for guests to dig in and help themselves, family-style, while a decadent grazing table by KaraKara Lavish Grazing awaits hungry guests lit with candlelight.

It came to life just as it was dreamt, Amber noting “Moana Hall is such a divine heritage building. I wanted the shoot to feel both regal but deep into the space.”
