Minimal styling within a modern setting is so sought after at the moment, and tody’s editorial brings to life pared-back beauty and effortless style in a way that celebrates not just the beauty of a season, but the magic of the transition, of old becoming new, of green becoming brown and all the in-between.
Set at the raw industrial venue of 40rd Event Warehouse, our dream team with photographer Joey George behind the camera, alongside cinematographer Luca Zarik (scroll for the film!), captured a collaboration that was driven by the change of seasons, it’s musings “simplicity meets soft seasonal tones and textures to enchant the senses, warm the heart and honour the magic of that special day” inspired a fresh take on trans-seasonal inspiration.
Model Tiama Herr dressed in a By Kinsman white jumpsuit represented the team’s modern take on traditional bridal styling, her lace jumpsuit complemented with soft makeup by Laura Baldwin and loose, beautifully styled waves by Chateau Hair Extensions.
With floral designer Tusmose on flowers and styling, the team embraced a mix of autumn and summer colours and textures – elegant silks, and structural wire, alongside tones of blush, muted terra, lilac and cream brought to life the team’s dream of a look of “modern romance with a natural, organic undertone”.
Using the seasonal in between foliage that transforms from greens to oranges, a tablescape, set on the cement floor, was set with pebble tablecloth and blush napkins by Simmons Linen Hire. The look is topped with simple white crockery and a modern stationery suite on textured paper designed by State Of Reverie. The look is complemented by a stunning centrepiece of a cake. Set atop a rattan stand from The Small Things Co., Miss Ladybird Cakes created a simple, white wedding cake that when topped with sculptural blooms, became a piece of art.
The littlest of details are what gives this editorial a special sense of unique beauty- the one brown leaf, the glittering taper candles, and the lace sleeves. The mixing and matching of textures and just a few colour tones inspire any minimalist lover for their own modern wedding day look.
