Of 2019 is the year of anything, it’s the year of moody tones, of restaurant weddings, of neon lights and dapper suits. And Today’s editorial masters every single box as the dream team takes to the underground bar of Perth restaurant Lalla Rook to make magic happen.

With the amazing Simone Addison Photography behind the camera, a table, set with rose gold linens, tall gold and black taper candles in gold holders, and metallic tableware all from Grandscene Events took centre stage. The beautiful blooms, in moody, jewel-toned hues by Sweet Pea Florist adorning the setting with stunning beauty. Marsala napkins topped with chic menus designed by Highlane Creative, complementing the black, white and marsala inspired stationery suite that set the scene fo such an occasion.

Our bride Caylin, dressed in a glam ballgown designed by Paula & Jo was made over with hair and makeup to match by Makeup By Melanie. The matching bouquet of white proteas, masala and royal purple blooms and peach roses a grand statement pulling her look together.

In keeping with the dark tones of the occasion, Sieve & Stone created an eggplant two-tier wedding cake, adding a touch of decadence with edible gold leaf detailing
And as we come close to farewelling The Suit Issue, we just have to comment on the groom Daniel’s eggplant toned suit from Penguins Formal Wear. The black lapel and matching bow tie the finishing touch.

“The venue was the inspiration for the style of the shoot as Lalla Rookh is underground and a funky, modern area” explains Simone, sharing “We chose neon jewel tones with a modern, contemporary look. Metallic golds and copper were added to give a bit of pop to the florals.”
