New Zealand? You’re rolling out the red carpet for us today as we dive headfirst into old Hollywood dreams with the most beautiful of flowers, the most stunning location and all the chic, styling you’ll need to inspire your own day of elegance.
With Sweet Events Photography, the team took to the beautiful Ataahua Lodge with its wide sweeping driveway, Hollywood-style palms and wide sprawling lawns to create an editorial that spoke of times gone by. With The Heirloom dreaming up the ideas and Flock Events pulling it all together there were beautiful floral details of blush, hot pink and soft yellows in wild and romantic arrangements (those poppies? Utterly amazing), a cake by Sweet Deer Cakes clad in ruffles and fine art inspired stationery suite designed by Inkberry Calligraphy
Our newlyweds, arriving in a classic vintage car from Prestige Rolls Royce, were made over by Beauty Tribe and NZ Makeup Girl, donned glam gowns by Jane Yeh and a dapper black tuxedo by Bond & Co. Their looks were beautifully styled to marry that vintage Hollywood style with classic elegance.
A celebratory feast whipped up by The Verandah was just the right finishing touch for this glam wedding, layered canapés and gorgeously bright dishes were the wow factor needed for such an occasion.
Photographer Emma shares “As you drive through the thick palms of Ataahua Lodge (by Holliday Homes) you are greeted with absolute magnificence. Slowly seeing the Lodge revealed was the most inspiring start to a creative day. I have just returned from four years in the USA. One of my favourite places in the States is Santa Barbara. The Lodge looks like it could be perfectly nestled in amongst the best homes of the Spanish Mission / Italian style mansions.”
Oh and don’t forget to scroll on down – because we’re even including the film of the day unfolding by Bad Panda.
Thanks so much for featuring this beautiful shoot, Ms Polka.
