It should be no surprise, that during The Proposal Issue, we’re packing our pages full of all things sparkly and today’s collection, from New Zealand jewellers Meadowlark certainly packs a (sparkly) punch!

Meadowlark’s ethos is grounded in creating meaningful pieces for both men and women with their beautiful “Ceremonial” collection, filled with nineteen brand new styles.

The brand founded by Claire Hammon & Greg Fromont who were inspired after creating their own wedding rings together have kept this small, intimate production style at the heart of what they do. They buck tradition and “normality”, instead as well as their designed collections, they work one on one with their clients to turn metal and gemstones into something that is ultimately a reflection of its wearer.

“Ceremonial” is designed to be comfortable, customisable and accessible – the collection available in a wide range of sizes and for a wide range of budgets.

Beautiful, and unusual gemstone cuts of baguette, pear and Ascher feature heavily, while traditional white diamonds feature alongside those of black and grey, as well as  beautiful green sapphires and blushing pink morganite each set in delicate, old world, yet modern and of the moment settings, that take meaning from both years of yesteryear and a wearer’s need to express their own sensibilities.

My favourite, “Etta” (pictured above) features six baguette green sapphires with a stunning pear cut diamond in a sunrise silhouette, while “Luna” speaks of the very act of marriage, with two stunning brilliant cut diamonds set on a pave diamond band. Statement ring “Dahlia” is one of the collection highlights, a 5mm round stone surrounded by a diamond halo, and diamond “petals”. it is indeed a piece that embodies the spirit of “no rules” that Meadowlark works so hard to create.

Meadowlark pieces are available via their website and selected stockists.
