The rolling landscape of  Emu Bottom Homestead was the quintessential setting for today’s shoot of Australian country wedding inspiration. Our team, led by Laura of Laurel & Grace the team created a simple look, guided by beautiful jewel-toned floral arrangements and little touches of fun to inspire a country celebration.

Behind the lens was Amanda Kilbourn Photography capturing our bride (Hayley Augustt), dressed by Anna Campbell in an elegant long sleeve lace gown. Carrying a colourful bouquet of primrose yellow, cherry red & pink flowers and plenty of textural greenery by Laurel & Grace, its grand size finished off with a slate blue bow, it’s the most beautiful accessory to her deep raspberry pink lips (styled by Makeup by Reannah) and floral hairpiece sitting over loose, romantic waves by Anna Elizabeth.

The groom (Morgan Waterhouse), dressed in grey by Briggins, complete with Peggy & Finn wooden bow tie was a firm favourite with our flower girl and pageboy (dressed by Designer Kidz and  Princess Boutique,) who spent the afternoon running and jumping and making use of the fun Kombi van from Samba Kombi Services and photo booth from Social Playground.

A gorgeous archway made of greenery finished off the day – making the most beautiful contrast to the homestead’s corrugated iron roof and grounding the bright colours and tones that were such a different take on an Australian country wedding and one that beautifully paid homage to its historic setting while adding a modern touch.

The team from  Directors Edge were there to capture all the behind-the-scenes action of the day as it unfolded.
