When a bride hits our screens with a stunning embroidered wedding gown we’re immediately smitten and the gorgeous gown in today’s sweet Maleny wedding is enough to take your breath away.
Captured by Artography, Caitlin and Brad’s love story began after many years of friendship; the couple, in their words, finally “getting their act together” wanting a day that was less about the spotlight and more about celebrating with their favourite people.
The bride wore a stunning embroidered gown by Monique Lhuillier from Neiman Marcus telling “My dress was not your traditional bridal dress. My mother and I went to Sydney as I had booked a few bridal appointments there, but I never really loved anything. I knew I wanted something different but nothing was living up to my expectations. I had looked online and had found a Monique Lhuillier gown that I loved on Neiman Marcus but I felt that it was a little too out there, but after a few months of thought (and a bought and returned dress), I went with the gown and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice.”
Caitlin and Brad chose The Chapel Montville for their ceremony explaining “Brad’s parents live in Maleny and we had seen the venue before being engaged and loved it! The view and the amazing craftsmanship and work that went into The Chapel itself (including the gorgeous animals carved into the door and pews) really sold the place to us.”
The bride walked down to a song written and played by her uncle on guitar.
Merlin Coughlan officiated the ceremony, Caitlin noting “It was short and sweet, Brad and I don’t love the spotlight being on us.”
Berti The Bentley transported the newlyweds, the bride remembering “All my vendors went above and beyond my expectations!
We had the best service from Berti the Bentley, our driver was so accommodating, he poured our drinks, gave us photo tips and ideas and was generally a great guy to have around on your wedding day!”
Of their photographers, Caitlin remarks “Talitha and James from Artography were great! They were so friendly, fun and easy-going and everyone loved our photos. I was quite worried about the photo experience, I am not the most photogenic person (I always seem to look awkward!) but James and Talitha embraced our quirkiness and eased us into the process – with the help of champagne!”
The newlyweds celebrated with their guests in the gallery at Poets Cafe.
Willow Bud created the beautiful green and white floral arrangements for the day. “My florist was Willow Bud and they did an absolutely wonderful job. I wanted a wild and whimsical look but with white flowers as my dress was colourful, Sandi and her team were great and very flexible (I changed my mind quite often) and I was over the moon with all that they did, particularly my centrepieces (I loved the moss!).”
“Tome did the most amazing cake for us with layers of Persian Love cake, Honeycomb, Pistachio it looked and tasted delectable!”
Congratulations on your marriage Caitlin and Brad! Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us! Thank you to Artography for sharing today’s stunning imagery!
