The magic of bridal market only comes twice a year, but this past October, we were thrilled to work with our fellow bloggers at Aisle Society to create this colourful whimsy for The Aisle Society Experience presented by Minted.

With a celebration in store, the Aisle Society bloggers planned beautiful vignettes to showcase the different niches and styles of our members and our team. Named “Colourful Whimsy” we wanted to create a space that reflected the fun, colourful feeling we love our blogs to showcase.

The Adiago Invitation from Minted served as our inspiration for the setup with bold type and modern paint swashes inspiring our art-inspired bold colour palette. Our stylist and floral designer Michelle Edgemont working with flowers from Fifty Flowers, deep teal linens from Nuage Designs and chairs from Diana Gould Ltd. to set the scene. A towering floral arrangement of lavender, blush and white towered over modern black candleholders with simple white taper candles. Custom foil printed napkins in bold black and watercolour artworks added feature points- the most favourite, of course, was our doughnut wall (an idea we all agreed was a must have!) that read “A Whole Lotta Love” and was filled with fresh doughnut holes all night long.

We were lucky enough to work with photographer Alea Lovely who captured our setup, along with our “wedding”. Two stunning brides with hair and makeup styled by the MG Hair & Makeup  team dressed in Marlo Ford Gowns and Galia Lahav from Bridal Reflections  and accompanied by our best people in suits from Menguin. The finishing touch? Sparkling diamonds from the incredible Susie Saltzman. Michelle Edgemont even created what I think might be one of my new favourite ideas – a stunning floral wreath carried by one of our brides to coordinate with her new wife’s stunning bouquet.
