Kathryn & Ben
There is such aa classic romance to Kathryn & Ben’s sweet Swan Valley wedding. The gorgeous dappled shade of the ceremony, the beautiful winery setting and equally gorgeous photographs captured by Simone Addison Photography .
Kathryn tells the story of how they met. “We were both our with friends at an Irish pub in Perth when we met. The rest is history!”
Kathryn found her wedding gown at Hobnob Bridal , noting, “I wanted a vintage style gown with lace. I found the perfect dress and was the first dress I tried on. I fell in love with it but thought I better try others to make sure I couldn’t find anything better. I never did!”
“When I was having my hair done my brother came in and gave me a gift from Ben. It was a Swarovski bracelet with a note reading ‘Meet me by the gazebo at 3 I have something for you, love Ben ‘. I started to cry as did all the girls around me. Luckily I hadn’t had my makeup done yet! It was so nice and thoughtful, very unexpected.”
Kathryn and Ben were married at Belvoir Homestead. The bride remarking, “We had both the ceremony and reception at Belvoir. This was perfect for us as we wanted a relaxed garden wedding which was perfectly accommodated on the Loton side under the gazebo. The guests were served refreshments while we had our photo shoot at a nearby vineyard, Lancaster. We choose a vineyard for our wedding shoots as this complemented the vintage look we wanted for our day.”
Kathryn walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri.
Liz Underdown officiated the ceremony, Kathryn remembering, “The ceremony was beautiful, exactly how I had imagined. My brother in law read the ‘Apache marriage blessing’ and my sister in law read ‘The Art Of Marriage’.”
Of their photographer, Kathryn remembers, “I wanted a soft elegant vintage feel to our wedding photos but it was also important to both of us that the photographer was relaxed and flexible. Simone ticked all those boxes. Spending the time to listen to exactly how we wanted the day to play out documenting this during our first meeting. I found confidence knowing Simone had a wealth of experience with youthful ideas and suggestions. We couldn’t have asked for a more professional photographer with such attention to detail. We would recommend Simone Addison to anyone needing to capture a special occasion.”
“We loved having all of our family and friends together at the same time.”
The newlyweds chose a waltz for their first dance to Eva Cassidy’s “Fields Of Gold”.
Congratulations on your marriage Kathryn and Ben! Thank you for sharing your day with us. Thank you also to Simone Addison Photography for sharing today’s celebration.
