A Romantic Santorini Getaway

Santorini is the perfect island for those looking to feel a little luxurious. Packed with things to do, the scenery is bound to make you feel like the rich and famous. The little white buildings will be sure to call you in where you can spend all day getting lost in small shops and taking in the view of the deep blue ocean below.

If you want to be a bit closer to the action in Oia, Imervigli is a great half way point between Fira and Oia which caters for lovers of fine dining and exquisite shopping. The Sophia Suites are situated in some of the islands restored natural caves. They have been refurbished this year after being built over 150 years ago ans still hold magical uninterrupted views of the volcanic sea.

If you don’t feel like dining in, catch a cab or hop on the local bus for a fifteen minute trip down the road to Oia. The views are beyond impressive and if you stand in the right spot you can see the ocean on both sides of the island. For a cosy romantic meal just outside of the busy streets of Oia visit Karma. The breathtaking courtyard goes hand in hand with the Greek delicatessen style menu. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for this one!

There’s plenty of things to do and see on the island too. If the weather is warm and the ocean feels like it’s pulling you in, you can head to Red Beach. It’s a bit of a walk to get to the actual beach, but once you’re there you can sit under an umbrella, or take a dip in the ocean.

For a more cultural experience why not ride a donkey! The donkeys can take you up from the port to Oia and back again. Get your picture snapped for a memento to take home. With so many wonderful memories from beautiful Santorini, you’ll definitely be back!
