Happy Monday Dotties! It’s been a funny week of weather hasn’t it. Spring is definitely kicking into gear and Mother Nature is letting us all know it!

The weather is warming up, with torrential rain thrown in, and we see late spring weddings unfolding. Summer is just around the corner, so take some time out while we highlight and show off the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory.  We have Specialised Services, we have Bridal Gown Services, we have Flowers, we even have Celebrants! Our Directory members are a friendly bunch, with ideas a plenty for your wedding day.

Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

Matt Rowe Weddings

We love it when wedding photographers who’ve started out in a small way, realise their passion and enthusiastically pursue it! With a love and appreciation of their craft, Matt and Amanda of Matt Rowe Photography love to get to know the couples they are photographing. To have a rapport with you brings out the best in those unexpected shots of stolen moments, emotions and fun. Both Matt and Amanda ‘find immense pleasure in combining the elements within a frame to create sheer awesome-ness’. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

We asked Amanda of Matt Rowe Photography five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite after five drink?

We are both happy with a super cold beer, but special times call for a beautiful Red. (I wish I could put a fancy drink in here – but this is the truth!)

Your favourite weekend getaway?

The Gold Coast Hinterland with adventures through the beautiful landscape.

Favourite restaurant?

Oh, this is ever-changing! Last week we had an awesome meal at Macchu Picchu on Ocean Street.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Hopefully we’ve snuck out for Eggs Benedict (for Matt) and something yummy with gigantic field mushrooms (for Amanda). Reality probably sees us sharing toast with our two little girls before making a run to the park for a milkshake.

Your favourite wedding story?

We had a beautiful wedding recently where the bride was escorted up the aisle with both her grandmothers and when it came time to place the ring on her finger, one of the Grandmothers removed her own wedding ring and passed it on to her grand-daughter in that moment. Tears? Yes, many. (The other grandmother had actually made the bride’s dress herself – so special!).
