There is a special magic to Autumn- when else do you get backdrops so fiery red? So rich and full of colour? This Autumn bride ideas shoot captures all that I love about Autumn colours.
Photographer Louisa Jones Photography teamed up with Moss Industry Weddings and Events, Tracey Clarke Hair & Makeup, Debra Fisher Couture (0417 300 596), Lainie Brookman Couture and models Carmen Vitnell, Amanda Judson & Kerrie Byrne to capture, in Louisa’s words “The decadent and rich colours of Autumn. Every year I see the gloriously warm hues of autumn crying out to be used in a luxurious wedding theme, so finally I gathered some exceptional vendors together to take advantage of the beautiful and bountiful colours and fruits of the season. My wish is to inspire bridal couples to consider the splendour of autumn as an appealing alternative to spring or summer weddings.”
Moss Industry Weddings and Events created the Autumn inspired floral arrangements, photographer Louisa noting, “We used deliciously bold colours in the flowers with a refreshing take on reds. Gorgeous roses, poppies and berries were among the flowers in the beautiful head pieces. With the other headpiece, we used the tendrils from the vibrant Virginia creeper which also inspires and features in the background of some of the images.”
Hair and makeup artist Tracey of Tracey Clarke Hair & Makeup tells, “For the hair and make-up brief, I took the inspiration from the wonderful autumn foliage and flowers, using coppers, shimmery golds and warm browns. I used a deep berry red lip colour which is so on trend at the moment, to complement the stunning floral head garland used for the shoot.”
Debra Fisher Couture (0417 300 596 ) created the sleeveless full dress and one shoulder dress while Lainie Brookman Couture created the ballerina style and long sleeve lace gowns. Louisa telling, “Soft lace, chiffon, and satin in soft ivory tones with a few warmer hues were used in the elegant dresses; from classic and dramatic styles to whimsical and dainty. All of these are one of a kind styles; made to measure.”
Louisa remembers, “A beautiful arbour made from a rustic old ladder, vintage packing boxes, almost bare trees and the Virginia creeper covering an old dairy with falling light set off the scene. Fairy lights were used for a subtle enhancement.”
Louisa notes, “All my wonderful vendors have boutique businesses in and around the Geelong Region; the dresses are from two different local Geelong couture dressmakers; the hair and makeup artist and florist are also local vendors. The styling was my concept: rich autumn colours, fairy lights and apples. I directed the make-up artist and florist with colours and hairstyles. The site was my parents-in-laws’ farm in Gnarwarre near Geelong, Victoria.”
