I love a shoot with a difference and this one from Byron Loves Fawn and The One Day House has captured my vintage loving heart! Inspired by a vintage fabric on a cushion, the shoot evolved into a relaxed, cosy vintage floral wedding design that feels in stylist’s Kristy’s words “A little bit Tuscan and even a little bit vintage seventies”.
The deep warm hues of the cushion are carried through to the deeply toned furniture, the bride’s vintage floral look jacket (perfectly paired on top of her Jennifer Gifford Designs gown) I love the combination of elements the team worked on as a fresh take for a Spring or Summer wedding- one could even take these rich tones into a colourful Autumn or Winter celebration.
The simple furniture- down to the greys of the dining setting, are a subtle nod to the shades of colour while letting the blooms, vintage floral crockery and napery do the talking. I imagine a feast of cheese, Charcuterie and the most delicious of wines making their debut at this wedding. Of course followed by the sweetness and fun of little lemon tarts or berry infused sparkling jelly.
Karla from Blissful Makeup created the bride and bridesmaid’s makeup look. Keeping the looks fresh and feminine with rosy red lips.
The bridesmaids wore yellow dresses with aqua waistbands from Cue.
Instead of keeping to a typical pastel floral theme, Kristy of Cotton Blossom used the deep bright blooms to bring life to the table and pick up the cushion colours. Poppies in hues of yellow, golden orange and red spilled from white milk jugs and compote bowls.
The groom was dressed in a smartly tailored suit from Will Valor with a simply printed bow tie by Marcello Neckwear.
Great inspiration!
