Happy Monday Dotties! With Spring trying to trickle in down under, it’s time for fresh starts, spring cleaning – not only of our homes and offices but of all that winter cold thinking. It’s hard to change a mindset isn’t it? To find a way through and ignite a fresh start. With fresh starts come plenty of fresh Spring weddings and that? That’s one thing that freshens my heart more than anything!
Let’s kick off our week with showcasing the amazing members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory! We have Cinematography, we have Menswear, we have Styling & Hire, we even have Venues! We love each and every vendor on our books – working hard with them to ensure they are the best people to work with our beloved Dotties and help you have a wedding that truly represents you!

I love finding an amazing hair and makeup artist so I am thrilled to introduce to you to the talented Vivian Ashworth! Based out of Melbourne, Vivian has been a makeup artist and hairstylist for over twenty five years! Not only does she work with hundreds of brides and bridesmaids each and every year but she also has plenty of editorial work in her portfolio. Vivian comes to you on your wedding day, after designing a look that suits your personality and wedding style with you to make sure your final touch is exactly what you want.
In fact, Vivian even offers courses on the best techniques on doing your own makeup – she’ll even do hens party workshops (now doesn’t that sound like a great afternoon with your favourite people? Playing with makeup?)
We asked Vivian of Vivian Ashworth (Hair and Makeup) five questions in five minutes –
What is your favourite after five drink?
Gin and Tonic with a slice of lime on ice.
Your favourite weekend getaway?
Favourite restaurant?
Dandelion in Elwood.
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
I am usually working on a wedding, but if not, I would go out for breakfast at Little Ox in Brighton, and have their scrambled eggs on sourdough with smashed avocado and coffee.
Your favourite wedding story?
A couple who after years, of shyly glancing across a Melbourne tram every morning on their way to work , finally spoke after she dropped her purse, and he ran over to pick it up for her. They are now happily married.
