Jerrem and Elisabeth
Jerrem and I met through mutual friends and it wasn’t until the planking craze happened and he planked on my bar at my workplace that we really started to talk and get to know each other. We dated for a while and Jerrem then surprised me by proposing. A month later we were blessed to find out we were having a child so we picked our wedding date around the impending arrival.
I wore a custom designed gown by Maxcelle Hall ~ Mill Street Wodonga. As a second time bride I wanted my dream wedding gown. To be part of the whole design process from picking colours and lace was just amazing and a memory I will have forever. It just made wearing my dress so much more special as it was a one off design that no other bride would have. My weddings colours and theme was decided by the colour of my bridesmaids dresses which they picked and was Cadbury Purple Mr K Dresses. Our flowergirl’s dress was the same colour also.
The boys suits were from Roger David Albury and was the first one that Jerrem saw and tried on. Maxcelle Hall – Maxcelle Hall ~ Mill Street sourced matching fabric and designed pageboy outfits for our two sons Jack (4) and Reuben (4mths) to complete our bridal party.
My flowers, the girl’s flowers, corsages and buttonholes were designed by Katie from the Rutherglen Wedding Company who also did our centre pieces. I chose Katie because she isn’t just a florist she is a real artist and creates stunning bouquets. I told Katie I wanted peonies and the rest was up to her and she did not let me down as my flowers were the first thing to make my cry on my wedding day. When they arrived they were just perfect and had the personal touch of being wrapped in lace from my wedding gown.
We had a wonderful morning getting ready. Our makeup artist and hairdresser Anthea of Anthea Leigh’s Hair and Beauty, did an amazing job and went above and beyond. She even met us at the ceremony and checked we were all perfect before walking down the aisle.
We decided on a beautiful public outdoor venue called the Amphitheatre for our ceremony and being that we picked a November wedding I knew it would be warm so we surprised guests with a vintage lemonade stand which was a real hit. Our wedding was about family so we incorporated a sand ceremony to include our two children also which means we now have another beautiful keepsake of our day in our home.
Our photographer was Kerrie from Esplana Digital Imaging. We originally picked our wedding around their availability as having the right photographer and capturing all the key moments of our day was very important to me. Kerrie knew that my wedding was about the personal touches and our family and she captured some very special moments of our children and wedding. Our location photography was so much fun and Kerrie made the experience so relaxed for us which resulted in some stunning shots.
Jerrem is a keen Richmond supporter and as I wasn’t keen on a yellow and black dress I arranged with a local cake designer to have two cake toppers made with a likeness to myself and Jerrem. She did an amazing job and designed my figurine with my exact dress and Jerrem with an Richmond Guernsey. The look on his face was priceless when he first saw it and it’s a wonderful keepsake from our day.
Our reception was held at the Lavington Panthers Sports Club which almost 12 months on our guest are still talking about. The food and atmosphere was amazing and the staff and service on the night was faultless. Megan O’Collins the wedding coordinator is simply fantastic and ensured we got the wedding reception we had dreamed of.
We are very lucky to have so many talented wedding vendors in our area who created an amazing country wedding. For a second time bride, I got my dream dress, wedding, and dream husband and perfect day! We wouldn’t change a single thing.
