The debut of Michelle Roth‘s “Manhattan” collection is pure sophistication that only New York can bring. Shot in a a dilapidated warehouse the gowns mix the elaborate styling of a beautiful wedding with a New York backdrop.
For 2014 Michelle has drawn inspiration from old Hollywood with a modern sophistication and created a collection that focuses on statement texture, vintage inspired laces, signature pin tucking, layered bias streamed ribboning, translucent gazar and Swarovski beading.
What I love most about this collection is the variation of necklines and silhouettes. Michelle has always had a chic edge to her designs and the illusion necklines, v necks and beautiful shapes have really made this collection stand out. There’s also a particular focus on the backs of the gowns- often forgotten Michelle has ensured they are as beautiful as the front.
