Julie and Neil

Julie and Neil, ironically met at a wedding- Neil? He was the best man and Julie? She was a guest. Years later they escaped to the French Alps for something different to celebrate their marriage.

Yann Audic for Lifestories Wedding Photography captured the magic of the winter wonderland in today’s wedding.

Julie chose a gown by Phillipa Lepley and shoes by Jimmy Choo. The flower girl wore a matching dress.

The bridesmaids wore floor length gowns from Monsoon.

Caleches (horsedrawn carriages) took everyone from the meeting place in town square up to the venue. Of the wedding location, Julie tells, “It was set in Megeve, where our family have a chalet. The Ferme De Joseph hosted us. It is an artisan working farm just above the beautiful village of Megeve. We set up a clear marquee out the front with an incredible view over the village.”

Julie walked down the aisle to Canon in D.

The couple had a website built by Jesse Boyce to give their guests all of the wedding information. Julie explains, “Jesse did amazing integrated design and art direction. Developed our visual style and website. We did everything through our website to make the weekend as big an event as possible, accommodation guides, skiing guides, restaurant guides, RSVP.”

Of their photographer, Julie says, “Yann Audic for Lifestories Wedding Photography. A friendly relaxed guy with a great way to get a relaxed characterful scene out of your guests. Fashion photography meets weddings. You won’t find a posed shot here.”

” A friend had seen a display in the wonder room Selfridge’s which had pink blossom all over trees. We recreated this by finding the supplier – pompomfactory and getting a local nursery to chop down some trees.”

“We glued 4 shot glasses to a ski, which really got the party started.”

Of their first dance, Julia recalls, ” We tried to avoid this, but our boisterous friends insisted, so we had a flail around pretending to dance. I can’t even remember what the song was! ”

Congratulations on your marriage Julie and Neil! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you to Yann Audic for Lifestories Wedding Photography for sharing today’s images!
