You know how much I love flowers and today I have three incredible tablescapes to show you designed by Melbourne based Domain Flowers. Collaborating with John Deer, 1000 £ Bend Cecylia Kee and Andrea Micich. The team created three very distinct and very modern floral looks which are such wonderful combinations to inspire you for your own wedding. Masses of blooms at different heights, combinations of colours and textures and fun, unexpected touches.
The first look is aptly named “Colour Riot” and kicks off the styling inspiration with the most incredible orange and white chevron table cloth from Bonnie and Neil along with glass white and orange Marianne Guedin candles. Domain Flowers Trish used traditional blooms like roses and modern, bold shapes of blooms like Amaranthus, Ranunculas and Waratahs to create the modern, multi layered look. Blooms ranged in colour from orange, greens and pinks to burgundy reds.
The modern shapes (with chairs from Modern History) are complemented by beautiful vintage china which picks up the orange from the chevron pattern, but adds another layer of interest to the palette. For this look, the bride (blogger Sevan Manjikian) wore a Pamela Usanto gown accessorised with a floral hairpiece.
The next look is a classic “White On White” theme. For this look, Trish used Lilly of the Valley and Sweet Peas, tumbling Phalaenopsis orchids, Hydrangea and Hyland Roses and mixed in with silver chalices and candelabras (from Palace Props).
Adding the different height floral containers and the soft greenery complimented the white while drawing the eye upwards and keeping the look modern (along with black chairs from Modern History). For this look, the bride wore a classic Karen Willis Holmes ballgown.
“Provincial Herbarium” is the final look and all about the relaxed, but modern feeling for wedding decor. Domain Flowers used parfume de grande roses, jasmine and fresh herbs in vintage vessels in fresh colours of lemon yellows and soft, springy pinks. Both a loosely tied pink bouquet and a vibrant green bouquet added to the look.
Keeping the table free of linens and the chairs plain and white adds the industrial, non fussed feel to the look. For this look, the bride wore a soft pink Karen Willis Holmes gown with soft pink and navy ribbon hairbands.
My fav is the first one! The model is perfect for that look – it has a very mexican Frida Kahlo feel – love it.
