Megan & Aaron
I love how different interpretations of one style can mean two completely different things and both be equally as beautiful. Megan and Aaron held their vintage inspired wedding in the rolling, vineyard covered hills of South Australia. A relaxed and intimate setting set the scene for their nuptials.
Megan tells of how they met. “A little corny but we locked eyes across the dance floor at a pub. I went up to the bar (alone) and Aaron came up next to me. We started talking and continued talking for the rest of the night and couple of hours later we realized we hadn’t asked each others names! Exchanged phone numbers and went our separate ways. We had our first date the next weekend. The rest is history.”
Photographs today are by Kate Pardey Photography who captured the joy filled day beautifully!
Flower Folly created the floral arrangements.
Megan says “We both wanted a casual celebration with family and close friends that represented both of us, with good food, wine and music. We added little touches of vintage by bringing our bikes, collecting jars for the fresh flower, doilies and plates. We also added a fun photo both with famous faces for our guest to pose with. Looking back at all the photo\’s was hilarious!” The wedding was held at The Currant Shed in McLaren Vale.
Megan wore a gown from The Vintage Bride Boutique.
Megan walked down the aisle to ‘So Here We Are’ – Bloc Party.
Of their photographer, Megan says, “Kate Pardey was our photographer and she was awesome! When we saw her portfolio we knew she would capture our wedding exactly how we wanted. All her photos are natural and genuine. Looking back at the beautiful album she designed and put together for us – she has captured every special moment of our day/night.”
Megan’s bridesmaid made the wedding cake.
Megan recalls, “The whole day was magical its so hard to pick one memory! Two standout moments were Aaron’s face the first time he saw me as I got to the end of the aisle and my nanna catching my bridal bouquet! Go nanna!”
For their first dance, Megan recalls “We danced to ‘Maps’ by yeahyeahyeahs. We danced Argentine tango which Aaron first introduced to me to tango when we started dating – he had been dancing for already about 2 years. It was quite special because it was the first time for many of our friends and family to see us dance together. And our teachers who are quite close friends of ours were there too.”
Congratulations on your marriage Megan and Aaron! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Kate Pardey Photography for sharing today’s images with us!
Absolutely beautiful. Love the hair. Of course, the colours and everything else is just gorgeous too. My favourite shot is the kissing picture in the courtyard with the pink petals and the bicycle!
Wow I love her hair!
Love this couple’s style! Too gorgeous.
The reception looks so intimate and together. Coming from an Italian family I’m used to seeing such huge wedding celebrations with hundreds of guests. Really nice change of pace.
