Aaron and Eliska
I kept telling Aaron that all of this felt so surreal! I was lucky enough to be a wedding coordinator in the Philippines so it felt like everything had to be perfect when it came to our wedding.
We decided to have our wedding here in Sydney as a symbol of starting our new life here, and inviting our family and friends was the perfect way to introduce to them our new home.
We knew that making some of the details ourselves would make our wedding more intimate and personal, so we started with our save-the-dates. Our colour scheme was grey, peach and blush and to go with our rustic feel, we had our wooden invitations hand made by Roberto Sand from Etsy.
We were so lucky to stumble upon our venue Allview Escape. They had all that we needed in the one place: accomodation, reception venue and the perfect tree. I always wanted to get married under a tree and in this case they had a forest for us to choose from! The place was a blank canvas we could put all our details into. It was nothing short of magical!
All of the decorations were done by family and friends the day before the wedding. We had the larger house as the wedding reception with one room as the lounge area and another as the dining area.
Aaron and I made sure there were lots of special details throughout the day like the I Do We Did sign, the felt escort tags, the just married sign and even the bottles we collected from all of our friends in Sydney.
It was so precious to see all of our loved ones enjoying each other’s company. That was the bonding moment we both were hoping for. My Mom prepared all the accessories to go with my dress. And since my grandma wasn’t able to come, I decided to wear the ring she gave me when I was young as my ‘something old’.
My bridal gown was a mix of everything I liked (while looking all over the net). I wanted to design something myself so it would be unique and personal. I chose a semi-blush dress with sweetheart neckline and french lace sleeves which I then let down during the reception for a more casual look. As for the bridesmaids, we chose rose blush infinity dresses so they could create their own style and still wear them after the wedding. Both the bridal gown and the bridesmaids dresses were made by our friend’s sister-in-law.
I love my bridal bouquet! It was handmade by my best friend from different fabrics and ribbons. Best thing is that I get to keep it afterwards.
Aaron wore a bluish grey suit from Ron Bennett. The groomsmen were each given scarves to go with their black suits.
David Edwards, our videographer, had the idea to capture our first look before the ceremony. I still get teary-eyed every time I watch it. He was such a joy to work with.
We had the ceremony in Aggie Pines park, also within Allview Escape. Tina McCormack was our lovely celebrant.
We loved our photographer Sayher Heffernan from our first meeting. Aaron is very particular with photos so when we saw Sayher’s work online, we just had to book him. No matter if we had to fly him all the way from Melbourne. We absolutely loved his positive energy and how he captures every emotion in each photo.
The reception was cozy and fun. We had a total of 40 guests and had two of our closest friends act as hosts for the night. Being part of every step of the preparations, we decided to leave the entire reception program to them.
It was a day full of love and friendship and we couldn’t have asked for anything else.

Ms Gingham says: Oh how I love this wedding. Sayher did such a fabulous job of capturing the atmosphere and details and Eliska’s dress is divine!
Eliska says: “I’m a wedding enthusiast who loves everything about weddings I started a freelance event coordinating business in the Philippines while working full time in the IT industry. Me & my husband just migrated here to Sydney. I love DIYs and peaches and coffee. :)”
