After finding each other and spending the next eight years inseparable, Lily and Harrison brought their favourite people together for a heartfelt summer wedding in the Victorian countryside. Set amongst the gardens of Glenbosch Wine Estate, their country wedding was filled with thoughtful details and unforgettable surprises, including a pregnancy announcement. Through the lens of Framefolk, every moment had us oohing and ahhing! Let’s take a closer look.

Through the power of social media, Lily and Harrison came across each other for the first time. From there, they decided to meet up, and as always, the rest is history. “We were inseparable after that. Lily was with her best friend at the time, and Harrison was with his two best friends (Hugh and Dan), who were both his best men on the wedding day!”

After eight years of dating, Harrison knew it was proposal time; he just needed to get the timing right. “It was my birthday, and we were going to a Coldplay concert that evening with our friends. Harrison and I both had the day off work. Harrison tried multiple times to get me to go for an early morning walk with him and our Labrador (he planned to propose on the walk); however, I kept insisting we do a gym class together. Harrison and I went to the gym at 6 am and returned home at 6:50. My mum asked me to call her by 7 am that day, as she was heading to work and wanted to wish me a happy birthday. Harrison wanted to give me my presents before I called my mum (I was thinking, “He’s being so persistent, just wait until after I call mum”). He then went to the bedroom to get my presents and came out with two behind his back,” Lily shared. “He asked me to pick a hand. I picked the hand with perfume in it, and he told me to pick the other hand first. I picked the other hand, and it was an engagement ring, and Harrison asked if I would marry him. It was a very big surprise, and I replied, “Finally!” Nothing overly romantic, it happened in our kitchen, but it was perfect. We had our dog with us, and then we were able to call our family after and share the exciting news. We then celebrated in Melbourne with our friends at Coldplay that night!”

Harrison was set on a black suit for their country wedding, and with the help of Frank from Petani Menswear in Albury, he found the one. Paired with a textured white shirt, a matching black vest and a bow tie, it was the perfect look. “He went to a couple of stores and was very happy with Petani Menswear, Albury. Frank found the perfect suit and vest for himself.”

His wedding party was also suited up by Frank at Petani, wearing matching black suits sans vests. “They all looked great!”

Lily’s bridesmaid wore this beautiful black dress from Pilgrim, with a V-neckline and fitted skirt. For her own look, Lily loved the idea of a simple, elegant white dress and chose a stunning piece from Always and Forever Bridal Melbourne. “I chose a dress that hugged my figure but was so comfortable! I decided to go with a simple veil with pearls,” she shared.

They wanted to keep the florals nice and simple, sticking to a white-and-green colour palette. “Lots of white roses. It was simply beautiful. Gina at Beechworth Flowers did an amazing job!

With her stepfather, Adam, and her pop, Graeme, on her arms, Lily walked down the aisle as “Falling Like The Stars” by Amber Leigh Irish floated through the garden air.

Lily was extremely lucky to have her wonderful nan, Sharon Milsome, as their celebrant! “Nan officiated our ceremony, which made it so incredibly special. We wanted it to be relaxed, fun, simple, but elegant.”

To round out the ceremony, Lily and Harrison invited their mothers, Tara and Lorelle, to read the following poem.

“Tara: From the moment I first held you, Lily, I knew love in its purest form. I have watched you laugh, learn, and now, love — with a heart so warm. Today, I see you with Harrison, standing here with hope and grace. It fills my heart beyond all words to see this joy upon your face.

Lorelle: Harrison, my son — from your first steps to this day, I have been your greatest cheerleader through every turn along the way. Now I see you with Lily, and the happiness you both create. A love that’s built on trust and care — a bond that feels like fate.

Tara: Marriage is not just one grand vow, but countless little choices made. It’s in the patience, in the laughter, and in the promises you’ve displayed.

Lorelle: And so we give you this blessing, from two mothers, proud and true: May love be your anchor and your wings, in all that life will ask of you.

Both (together): Today, two families intertwine — two hearts, two stories, one new line. Lily and Harrison, walk hand in hand, with all our love behind you, as you begin this life you’ve planned.”

Neither Lily nor Harrison had ever been to Glenbosch Wine Estate before, but the moment they found it on Instagram, it was love at first sight. “Harrison and I went and had lunch there, and the food was amazing, and we thought the location was stunning. The owner was absolutely beautiful and so easy to work with from the moment we started inquiring. The coordination throughout the day was amazing. It was so lovely not having to worry about anything. We would choose Glenbosch a thousand times over for our wedding venue. We couldn’t recommend them enough!”

Darcy from Framefolk was a dream come true for Harrison and Lily. They couldn’t have asked for a better photography team! “Darcy was so easy-going and made the whole day feel so relaxed! We couldn’t recommend her enough!”

During Harrison’s vows in the ceremony, the duo announced the most special news: their pregnancy! “We announced our pregnancy to all of our family and friends (including my nan, who was the celebrant). We announced that I was 14 weeks pregnant. It was so special, and everyone was so surprised!” They explained.

The advice Lily would impart to couples planning their own future weddings is this: “Just have fun and enjoy the day!! It’s such a special day, and it goes so fast!”

Finishing out the night, Lily and Harrison had their first dance to “Always Remember Us This Way” by Lady Gaga. “We did a couple of months of dance lessons beforehand, which was so much fun!”

A huge thanks to Framefolk for capturing and sharing these beautiful shots with us, and congratulations to Lily and Harrison!
