There’s nothing more important to Trent and Neredine than their beautiful daughter, so when it came to planning their timeless wedding, they wanted a focus on their family. From their family-focused ceremony led by Love Susan, to their cake topper, which was passed down from her grandmother’s own cake. This was a wedding, captured by the talented team from Eastwood Collective, that focused wholly on family and the meaning of those wholesome relationships.

For years, Trent and Neredine knew of each other through their best friends (who are high school sweethearts!). It took one accidental meeting at a pub 10 years ago for the sparks to fly!

Halfway through their lunch at Paringa Estate, Trent ran to the car to ‘grab his phone’, while Neredine continued eating as the staff smiled widely at her. “I was completely oblivious. When we were leaving, he quickly turned me to this small patch of grass with a little picnic basket and lights set up. It was very sweet and romantic!” she explained. “I was also so overwhelmed I said ‘Thank you’ instead of ‘yes’.”

The Farm Yarra Valley was the perfect venue for this romantic wedding. “They made the day incredibly easy. The team was all over it! The location felt very family-friendly and relaxed.”

All of these gorgeous flowers were created and styled by the amazing team from Yarra Valley Blooms. “I have zero idea when it comes to flowers, and Renee really helped me choose what would complement our burgundy colour theme. I chose mostly roses in dark burgundy, white, and blush pink. Very romantic! We had curved arches for our ceremony, which looked so beautiful in front of the barn doors!” Neredine shared.

Trent wore a classic tuxedo from Men’s Suit Warehouse to complement the timeless romance of the day. “And really, how often do you get the chance to wear a tuxedo?!”

Neredine walked down the aisle with her dad on her arm, as an acoustic rendition of “Follow You” by Bring Me The Horizon played. “We’re both big fans of the band.”

For Trent, this is the moment he remembers most fondly. “Getting emotional at the surprise pre-recording of Lily (our daughter) and then seeing Neredine in her dress walking down the aisle.” He shared.

Found with the team from Made With Love Bridal, Neredine’s dress was the perfect romantic fit for their timeless wedding. “I chose this wedding dress as I wanted something elegantly minimalist with a clean, sculpted silhouette. And I loved that I could take the sleeves off for the reception!”

The ceremony was family-oriented, with their three-year-old daughter included the whole way through (even presenting her with a necklace with her initials). Their celebrant, Susan Rash, was the perfect addition to the proceedings, making the whole process super easy for them. “We started with a time capsule – a wooden box with a bottle of wine from the venue inside, and we both put in a letter to each other that we had written the morning of. On our 10th wedding anniversary, we’ll open it up! I loved our vows. I thought I was going to be so incredibly nervous, but as soon as I walked in and saw how calm Trent was, I just instantly felt calm too and enjoyed every minute of it” Neredine explained.

“Susan is very easy to talk to and truly made the ceremony so engaging and wholesome – we got so many compliments about her. She also collected wedding advice from guests before the ceremony started and read out a few: some funny and some so beautiful!”

The five things that made Trent and Neredine’s timeless romance wedding so special to them included:

“1. Surprising Trent with a pre-recorded message from our daughter that played as she walked down the aisle.

2. Having my sister and Trent’s brother as maid of honour and best man.

3. Seeing all the attention on our daughter Lily on the dance floor.

4. Our personalised wedding guest illustrations.

5. Having our daughter Lily as our flower girl.”

Their wedding party included Trent’s groomsmen in matching black suits and burgundy ties, and Neredine’s sister, Laura, and two best friends, Maree and Breanna. They wore a beautiful one-shoulder draped silk dress in a stunning burgundy shade. “I was originally going to have them all in different burgundy dresses, but we all loved this one so much.”

Eastwood Collective captured the day alongside Neredine and Trent in their classic candid style that they loved. “I have been obsessed with our photos. I love the black and white photos, and everything felt very natural and fun,” she shared.

“Mitch Eastwood was so organised and professional. I don’t even recall seeing him at the reception, but he was swiftly running around taking the best dance pics! He made sure that nothing felt too cringe or staged which was really important to us. We also didn’t want to spend too much time taking photos, and he was very flexible with that, giving us different options for our run sheet to maximise the day.”

For Neredine, the best piece of advice she could leave for future couples planning their own days would be this: “Be in the moment, enjoy the day and don’t forget that this day is for you both. Don’t put pressure on yourself to speak to every person; they’re all having fun and just want to see you having fun!”

They were incredibly lucky to have the cake included in their venue services, so this beautiful cake was provided by The Farm Yarra Valley team. The little bride and groom toppers were actually Neredine’s grandmother’s, adding a sentimental touch.

A really beautiful surprise Trent and Neredine had ready for their guests was the personalised illustrations done by Handrawn Studios. “This felt really unique and a fun activity for everyone.”

Their first dance was to “Sea Of Love” by Phil Phillips, practising only two days before the big day, but still nailing it when the moment came. We watched a cover of this song while on our babymoon and instantly fell in love with it. We practised two days before the wedding, and I was surprised how difficult I found it as we wanted to get the timing right!”

A huge congratulations to Neredine and Trent! And thanks to Eastwood Collective for capturing and sharing this special day with us.
