Dream Proposal at Sisters Beach

To finish the Joy Issue with a bang, today’s feature is all about the power of vendor dream teams and knowing your partner inside and out. With the help of Bekk from Mollie & Mae Planning and Styling and captured by Rheanna Lee Photography, Jay planned Kennedy’s dream surprise proposal!

Unlike how many couples meet nowadays, Jay and Kennedy met organically on a night out in their small town. A welcome surprise for both of them!

The perfect spot for this surprise proposal shoot was Sisters Beach in Tasmania. Jay had told Kennedy they were having a family photo shoot, where they arrived at a beautiful setup done by Bekk from Mollie & Mae, complete with silk and flowers.

When asked what they love most about each other, this is what Kennedy had to say: “Jay has to be one of the nicest, funniest people I have ever met. I’m yet to meet someone who doesn’t love him.”

“Kennedy always has my back when I need and cares so much, we love listening to music together and seeing live music, and I love how much she loves me,” Jay added.

He knew he wanted the moment to be raw and captured as it happened, and in his heart, Jay knew there was no one else for the job than Rheanna Lee Photography! “Kennedy was excited for the proposal, but absolutely stoked when she spotted her dream photographer (me) there capturing the moment! I actually photographed a wedding that Kennedy MC’d the day before, and she had made a comment that she wanted her boyfriend to hurry up and pop the question, and she wanted to be a 2027 bride! Little did she know there was an entire shebang planned the following day!” Rheanna explained.

“Rheanna has to be one of the best in the biz! She is kind, bubbly, and outgoing! Not only does she take such beautiful photos, she is so amazing at direction and making you feel comfortable, but I was also in a wedding where Rheanna was the photographer, it was a wedding party of 24, and the way she handled it and hyped us all up was just amazing!” Kennedy added.
