From bird-related surprises to a whiskey bar that lured guests from the dance floor, Claire and Caleb’s soft, romantic wedding was brimming with personality. But at its heart, it was a day about family, connections, and one last dance under the glow of sparklers. And thanks to Lauren Wild Creative and Sunny Day Films, every moment was captured to utter perfection.

Claire and Caleb first crossed paths at his sister’s sixteenth birthday party – and were inseparable from then on. “The first few years of our relationship were your typical young love relationship. Over the years, it’s grown and developed along with us, and we both couldn’t be more grateful to now be married and have our little one, Daisy. There’s something so special about finding your person at a young age. It’s been such a privilege to be by each other’s sides through already so many life events.”

As they were making their way to Claire’s parents’ house, Caleb suggested they stop by the lake nearby. Not just any lake, but a place they spent plenty of time at as teenagers, where they had their gender reveal and countless other memories. “He asked if I wanted to stop by a lake and show our new baby,” Claire explained. “It was raining, and he asked if I would dance in the rain with him. He spun me around, and when I turned back, he was on one knee. I was completely surprised.”

For Claire, picking her wedding dress was quite the challenge. With so many styles, shapes and textures, she was starting to get overwhelmed. “Four different wedding dress stores later, and I finally found the one.” And that one was this beautiful Made With Love Bridal gown, with a sleek design and modern halter neck design.

Suit shopping was much easier for Caleb, especially since his dad had gifted him a custom-made suit experience with Wil Valor. “The customer service was the best I’ve ever experienced. The entire team there were so knowledgeable.”

When it came to flowers, Claire really wanted to focus on high-quality, soft and beautiful pieces that completely transformed their day. “Our stylist and florist, Demavi, did such an amazing job bringing our dream to reality.”

One of the things that Claire and Caleb were so, so excited for was sharing their day with their daughter! “Definitely, our daughter being a part of our wedding was a highlight. She did such a great job.”

Not every moment goes according to plan, but sometimes it’s the unexpected ones that bring the biggest laughs. For Caleb, that meant an uninvited guest leaving their mark just after the ceremony… “Just after the ceremony, Caleb got pooped on by a bird. I guess it’s good luck, so we could laugh it off!”

Every wedding starts with a blank canvas, and for Claire, finding the right one was the most rewarding part of planning. Ancora Tweed Heads, with its white coastal palette and effortless charm, offered both beauty and freedom to bring their vision to life. “Truthful price was a major factor when it came to finding our venue. It had all the main elements we wanted, but it also felt very us. It was already a stunning venue, but the white coastal palette made it an easy canvas to make more on-theme for our wedding.”

While the space created the perfect backdrop, it was the team behind the scenes and their incredible food that elevated the celebration into something unforgettable. “The staff were so attentive and the food was amazing. Everyone at the wedding made a comment about it being the best wedding food they had ever had. The staff were also so relaxed and respectful. They were more than happy to answer my many questions leading up to the wedding as well,” shared Claire.

The advice Claire and Caleb want to leave for future couples planning their own dream weddings is this: “Expect to go over your budget. There are always things you don’t plan for, and they do add up.”

An unexpected highlight? The whiskey bar – an add-on that quickly became the star of the reception! “It was an add-on in the package we went with, and it was such a fun element of the day. Almost everyone cleared off the dance floor to try it.”

Before the night slipped away, while friends and family gathered outside with sparklers in hand, Claire and Caleb shared one last dance alone. It was a pause, a deep breath, a chance to take in everything they had just experienced together. In that quiet moment, the whirlwind of the day settled, leaving only the two of them, wrapped in music and memory.

Thanks to Lauren Wild Creative for capturing these moments, perfectly preserved for Claire and Caleb to relive again and again. Huge congratulations to the happy couple – here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and little adventures!
