There’s just something about a garden wedding that feels so magical – and Tayla and Lincoln’s day was no exception. Set against the lush backdrop of Anahdale Farm Shed, their celebration was filled with romantic details, fresh florals, and plenty of joy. Tayla’s whimsical gown, their vibrant citrus-infused reception, and a kombi van serving up drinks created the perfect mix of elegance and fun. And with their dream team of vendors, including photographer Brenton Cox, bringing every detail to life, their day was as unforgettable as their love.

These high school sweethearts have been together since Lincoln moved to Tayla’s school for senior schooling. The moment he saw her and her friends dressed as the Incredibles at a disco, he knew she was the one for him!

Flash forward five years, and Linc and Tay were planning a week-long trip down the south coast. Once they’d gotten to Mollymook and enjoyed a day in the sun, Lincoln guided Tayla down to the beach once more. Here, he dropped to one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him! “We spent the rest of the night at a cocktail bar on Cloud 9 face, timing all our loved ones!!”

Lincoln opted for a classic black tux and bow tie paired with a crisp white shirt and black leather accessories. “He wanted to go with a slick traditional look and went for the tux as you only get to be a groom once (hopefully).”

In his wedding party, Lincoln had his two brother and his best friend, each wearing a black suit and tie to match the classic vibe.

Tayla chose a soft, strapless gown with long sleeves from Kyha Studios to match the garden wedding vibe of the day. “It was whimsical and perfectly matched the soft vibe of our day. I saw this dress on social media and knew it was my dress. We went to Love Marie Bridal in Camden, where I tried on this dress along with a few others but knew the one I originally had in mine was the one for me. We had the best experience at Love Marie Bridal!”

Within her own wedding party, Tayla had her sister, best friend and family friend as her bridesmaids. Each member wearing a soft yellow silky halter dress from Meshki.

Kasey from Beyond the Valley took care of all things floral for this garden wedding, bringing Tayla’s dreams into reality. “I always knew I wanted colour and fun, and I feel like this resembles Linc and my relationship. My bridesmaids had a different white bouquet, and I had a mixture of pink, green, orange and yellow. We did bus vases for the reception and lots of citrus fruit. I struggled to find a florist who really understood my vision. When I reached out to Kasey, she was beyond helpful. She met up with me over cover with a 10-page slideshow of her ideas from my inspiration, and she absolutely nailed it!”

This beautiful day took place at Anahdale Farm Shed in Blayney. The moment Tayla and Lincoln saw the lush green lawn for their garden wedding and the magical drooping trees, they knew it was the one! “It had a nice big lawn for cocktail hour, ceremony on a lush green lawn with beautiful drooping trees, a huge barn for reception and accommodation on site for bride and groom.”

Tayla walked down their garden aisle with her dad on her arm. Her wedding party walked first as “Truly Madly Deeply” by Savage Garden played, with Tayla following soon after to “Simply The Best” by Tina Turner.

The garden ceremony was their favourite part of the whole day! “It was an out-of-body experience seeing everything come together and everyone you’ve ever loved in one place at the same time. Our ceremony felt magical and very personal to Linc and me. We had Linc’s dad open with a blessing, his brother Ethan also read our wedding advice from some of our guests, and we did personal vows.”

The best part of their ceremony? Their celebrant and wedding coordinator, Tess, from Say Yes With Tess! “Tess is worth every cent. I couldn’t have done it without her! She was so helpful in the lead-up, organising almost everything for us and sorting everything so Lincoln and I could just enjoy it without worrying about a single thing.”

Brenton Cox was the photographer for this whimsical day, capturing every soft, intimate detail as it happened. “Not to mention he had our entire wedding gallery edited and back to us by the next night. He also captured our engagement photos and would recommend him to anyone!”

For Tayla and Lincoln, their favourite part of planning was hand-picking their soundtrack for the day. “I feel like this really adds to the emotion and atmosphere of the day, so it felt really important to us. We also loved seeing all our vendors come together to make our dream day!”

Thanks to Brenton, Tayla and Lincoln had so many incredible photos to choose from when looking for their favourite. They landed on this gorgeous photo of Lincoln lighting Tayla up and kissing her under this spectacular tree.

If they had to pick their second favourite part of the day, it would have to be the garden cocktail hour with the kombi van!

The top five things that made their garden wedding so special were:

“1. Our personal vows

2. The first dance

3. Not leaving each other’s side the whole day

4. Everyone’s speeches

5. Sunset photos – getting that time after dinner to just soak it all in just the two of us.”

Their first dance was to an acoustic version of “Forever” by Chris Brown.”

Congratulations, Tayla and Lincoln, on your beautiful garden wedding! And thanks to Brenton Cox for capturing and sharing it with us.
