We love seeing how creative couples get with their weddings, and this Vegas-style micro-wedding is the perfect example of how a no-fuss celebration can still be elegant and simple! Captured by Jacob Jennings Photography and set against the beautiful Adelaide scenery, it was the perfect mix of retro inspiration and refined beauty.

Lauren and Aidan met over 10 years ago on social media, and when he asked her out on a movie date, the rest was history. They’ve been going to the movies together ever since!

Aidan proposed on a beach, and as Lauren stated: “It was very unexpected and very low-key – perfect for us.”

There’s no shortage of photos Lauren loves from their micro wedding, but these shots of her and Aidan in front of the yellow wall are definitely some of her favourites!

While Lauren doesn’t love planning parties or events, she loved looking for her dress – and she found this beautiful retro-inspired mini dress on Reformation. “I always knew I didn’t want anything traditional, and I love retro/vintage vibes so it was perfect for me. Paired with a headband and pearls, I couldn’t have been happier with how the look turned out,” she shared. “I also did my own hair and makeup which I was very proud of!”

Aidan wore a classic white Ralph Lauren Polo, a pair of tan pants, his favourite RM Williams boots, and some sunglasses to complete his summer look.

Lauren picked out a simple bouquet from her local florist, Country Blooms Murry Bridge, who incorporated white roses and baby’s breath to give off those retro vibes she wanted. “We had no traditions other than a small blue ribbon included in my bouquet for my ‘something blue’.”

Joining them behind the lens for this beautiful Vegas-style micro wedding was Jacob Jennings! “Jacob was awesome. He’s so chill and captured exactly what we wanted from the day!”

Aidan and Lauren had always planned to get married at the beach, with their paperwork being done at the registry office in Adelaide, but they made a last-minute change on the day. “We changed the location to Felixstow Park which was a good decision,” she explained.

Their ceremony was run by their talented celebrant, Love Celebrations by Lisa. They didn’t write any personal vows – just shared the legal ones and kept the rest of the ceremony pretty low-key, sticking to their no-fuss rule!

For her wedding party, Lauren had asked her sister and Aidan’s sister to be her bridesmaids. Initially, she wasn’t planning on them having matching dresses, but she ultimately decided against that when she found these gorgeous champagne gowns!

One thing they did plan the day around was their grandparents – ensuring they’d be able to travel in for the occasion. “Aidan’s grandparents live in Colorado, USA, so we planned the wedding around them visiting so they were able to be there!”

The advice Aidan and Lauren want to leave for future married couples is this, “If you want to elope, just do it!!! You save so much money for more important things!”

Aidan and Lauren! Your Vegas-style micro-wedding was incredible to see – congratulations on such a beautiful celebration! And thanks to Jacob Jennings for capturing and sharing it with us.
