The wedding of Brittanie & Michael is a special one; it’s classically elegant yes, with tones of blush and white. The venue, in the beautiful Southern Highlands the perfect blend of rustic elegance. But the moments, the stories are what made us fall in love with this tale. As captured by KLD Photography, it’s packed with them – from the couple’s dog walking down the aisle, to Brittanie’s secret baby bump she hid on the day, to the couple surprising Brittanie’s grandparents with a special vow renewal during their ceremony. The details are pretty, but the moments are what you’re going to adore.

Brittanie and Michael went to high school together, so it seems, if you ask us, that this love story was a long time in the making – and the proposal, equally as romantic a tale, Michael popping the question on the day they moved into the new house the couple built together .

The couple chose Hidden Leaf Productions to capture a film of their day.

Brittanie found her romantic Demetrios gown at The Sposa Group. She tells “It matched the effortless/romantic theme of the wedding.”

The couple’s furry four-legged friend was the star of the day, walking down the aisle and even “signing” the marriage certificate.

Brittanie walked down the aisle to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Kacey Musgraves.

“Our celebrant Glenn Millanta made the whole day” notes Brittanie. “The ceremony was a perfect reflection of us. We even did a vow renewal for my grandparents’ 56th wedding anniversary.”

Brittanie tells “We did things 100% our way without feeling the pressure to do cliché things – no garter toss, no head table, etc. We also made sure to spend 1:1 time with each other to keep the focus on us. Remember the marriage is more important than the wedding so let the small things go and just focus on each other. Take time to soak at the moment – look at who is there for you and appreciate the love in the room.”

Of their photographer, Brittanie has nothing but good things to say, “Kristie was so easy to work with and matched our laid-back candid vibe. We love the post-ceremony mid-aisle kiss photo and the candid photos of us laughing. We can’t rate Glenn and Kristie highly enough – choosing vendors who were good people too was so important.”

The beautiful flower arrangements for the day were styled by Two Wild Hearts. “We had a romantic, fairytale but modern style” remembers Brittanie. “Neutral colours with pops of blush. We fully trusted Two Wild Hearts with my vision and they exceeded expectations.”

For the newlywed’s first dance, they chose “So Into You” by Tamia. Explains Brittanie “We didn’t want it to be cliche so we did R&B.”

Congratulations to you both Brittanie & Michael! Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us. Thank you also to KLD Photography for sharing today’s beautiful celebration.
