You know and we know that bright and beautiful colour makes our little polka dot hearts go boom boom, so when an editorial arrives with an incredible watermelon pink wedding gown? Well hello Tuesday, you don’t look so bad after all!

Captured by Fran Jorgensen Photography, today’s editorial takes place at the beautifully modern, country venue of Leonards Hill Estate. Inspired by that aforementioned pink gown by Melbourne designer Hayley Maree Bridal, the team, with stylist 99 Luft Event at the helm created an editorial full of modern touches and all the colour.

It kicks off with our model Vanessa Chng‘s look. To complement that stunner of a gown, makeup artist L B Artistry Bendigo used bold and bright colours (and matching eyeshadow!) while Hair and Halo Studio pulled Vanessa’s hair back into a wavy, modern ponytail.  Vanessa, and her “groom” made the most of the decadent tiered wedding cake (pink with white icing and complete with cherries) by Sweet Peach Bakes, before they took their seats for cocktails and dinner at a table beautifully set in modern pink and black. The details – fun stationery pieces by Rose Creative Studios and bright and beautiful floral details – from the bouquet to the centrepieces by Ivy and Bloom Flowers bringing the strong, dramatic tones together into something playful and fun.

Says Fran “We are strong believers that photoshoots should be a fun time. We blasted some tunes and instructed our models to go crazy! Dance, pick up the cake, eat the cake, be electric and that is how these incredible photos were captured.”

Pastels are pretty, but may this editorial inspire you, to go for bold!
