Wattle Park Chalet is not your ordinary venue. 10 kilometres from the city centre yet a world away from the hustle and bustle, this Heritage Victoria and National Trust registered building opened in 1928 as a tea house, dance hall and venue. Outside there are English style private gardens within the heritage grounds of the 137 acre Wattle Park, while the building itself has the dark wooden features of a chalet from salvaged timbers, roof slates and bricks from historic buildings around Melbourne.
Inside there are vaulted ceilings adorned with dark wooden beams, a large dance floor and the ability to accommodate 40 to 200 seated guests being treated to cocktail, banquet or set menus. This venue values diversity and inclusive with dedicated staff who are intent on turning your dream day into what you’ve envisaged.
