In an era when everything is modern and trends move as fast as the waves, there is peace, there is grace in the romance of old-world weddings. And that is exactly what today’s Melbourne dream team were inspired by.
Photographer Clodagh Jane Photography, who captured all the beauty, tells of the vision of Jazmine of Cloth & Confetti Events (who not only dreamt up the vision for today’s shoot, but also worked her talent on styling, and supplied all the linens, cutlery and stationery). “Her vision was to whisk us away to another time” explains Clodagh. “A time when romance ruled, passion was fuelled by true love and decadent decor adorned every inch of interior spaces. Reality looked like a fairy tale, indulgence was ordinary and lust was a priority.”
Assisted by Oh Honey Weddings and Jessie Carrubba, Jazmine created two beautiful tablescapes, set at the grand old dame of Melbourne’s Grand Hotel. The first, inside, was simple but romantic lush linens topped with brass candlesticks and glowing candles, surrounded by floral details designed by Wild in Love. Garlands of fresh jasmine that complemented a softly pink and white bouquet held by model Jessica Husband, Place Settings furniture, layered crockery and sparkling glassware by Lusso Event Hire and White Lane Designs designed paper pieces adding the finishing elegant touch.

The same team created look two, outside. A patterned linen tablecloth and deeper pink flowers added something that somehow straddled both romantic and modern styling. This time the details varied from mint green glassware to floral installations at either end of the table for a little added drama. And with two shoots in one, you’re sure to find the inspiration you can take and make your own. And let this be your invitation to make old-world, vintage glamour into something that you’ll adore for decades to come.
