What does a wedding gown designer do when their brand turns twenty? Well, of course, they release a brand new collection and today, we’re celebrating Daalarna Couture.

The Hungarian designer has the staying power – that much is true, and the proof is in the pudding. So when it came to designing the celebration collection? Designer Anita Benes was inspired to create gowns that were inspired by stability, of timelessness, the one thing we’re all struggling to find in this post covid, post-pandemic, strange world.

So the “Timeless” collection was born. And when we say it is utterly romantic, utterly dreamy? It’s not a word of a lie. It steps away from trends, into beautiful pieces that echo timelessness. More fitted silhouettes, beautiful tulles and laces and designs that are graceful and elegant. The skirts are sheer, dramatic and layered, the bodices are fitted and elegant. There are appliqués and beading, and careful placement to ensure these gowns are unforgettable. And if you’re not a lover of long, there are even mini-dresses that are perfect for a reception dance floor, or a more understated celebration.

Says Anita “While the world of fashion is constantly renewing itself as trends come and go, weddings bring stability, constancy, reliability and the promise of eternal love. So as a wedding dress designer, I need to renew from season to season without changing the archetype of the bride: this image of a happy woman in a festive dress has remained the same for centuries. With the new Timeless collection, I have tried to capture this timelessness of the concept of a wedding.”

Daalarna Couture is available in Australia at The Bridal Curator, The Bride Lab and Hope x Page.
